The TVB Awards will be revealed tonight (15th November), the favourites for “Best Actor” are Ha Yu and Fung. Ha Yu is experienced and has been in the industry for many years, his abilities are not questioned. The latter is promoted by TVB, and his character in “Moonlight Resonance” is very likeable, so this fight for the award is intense. Fung openly admits he’s very confident in winning the “Best Actor” award. He said, “there’re many people around who supports me, so I will definitely have confidence. However, I think by being nominated I just have a chance, actually I have already decided regardless of winning or losing, I will celebrate. This is because there’re many people around me who have helped me a lot this year.” Fung is viewed as a favourite to win which gave him a lot of pressure. He said, “to be viewed as a favourite, I really have to say thank you. Now when I go out, the people are very supportive and said they’ve already voted for me. This makes me very happy, but it also gives me pressure. I’ve already selected my outfit for the night and I will go to the ceremony well prepared.” Satisfied with performance Actually besides the role of “Goon Ga Jai”, Fung is quite satisfied with his work performance over the past year, like his album. He said, “it’s been a really busy year, developing well, handed in my homework, very happy.” Fung has been in the entertainment industry for ten years, and it’s his fifth time being in the top five for “Best Actor”, about his development over the last ten years, he said, “comparing to others, when I entered this industry you can say there’re many opportunities because at the time the producers like to use newcomers and develop new storylines. So I had lots of work, actually for an actor it’s quite passive, so if you have the chance to perform you’re already very happy. Plus “Moonlight” had very good ratings, people noticed the role of “Goon Ga Jai”, so I’m very pleased with it.” Even though he is seen as a favourite for Best Actor, Fung is viewing with a normal heart. He said, “I have thought about what to say if I win or lose. If I lose I will feel a little “embarrassed”, because many people think I will win. But I have already gave my best, everything else I cannot control.” Fung views 2008 as a year of bountiful returns, however, he hopes that he can buy his own home within the next two years. His goal is not a grand mansion, he said, “buying a house is a long term plan, plus Chinese people thinks buying property is a good investment. Since I don’t have time to buy shares, now I’ve grown up it’s time to buy a home.” Scans by: Sharon @ RaymondForest.com Credits: to http://raymondlam.org
