Got the search function working with the help from the people on the official TVPad forum. I'll make a small tutorial once I test it a bit more. You basically have to search using Pinyin, so IP Man became "YeWen". For the first time ever I was able to see some results coming back It's funny though, because the search screen in the app contains an example ... but obviously in Chinese

I've just received my TVPad and it looks smaller than i thought.
will plug it in tonight when i get back and hope all goes through smoothly.
MicroSD card has a V2.72A sticker on it. and uk power supply which is exactly what i needed.
Also come with english instruction manuals..

looking forward to it.

I don't think I should post beta apps but if anyone is interested to test and fully understands the possible consequences I will try to help.

On another subject I found another Sharp TV that don't work with TvPad's HDMI audio... Sharp LC-C4655U -down

 

Both HiTV and 粵海 has good Cantonese channels. And welcome to the TVpad family!!

 

got my TVPAD but the TVB Jade HD keeps on lagging and make some bit off noise hope it's bandwidth fault>>

Does anyone know if we will get better quality TVB channels in the future? I heard Lily was really good before it shut down :(

2.7 firmware update?

I have the TVPAD m121, how do I go about updating the system...when I click upgrade on the system it says it has the latest firmware.
I think I need to upgrade because the AV cable supplied does not work?
Also how do you install applications to the system, anything like the hacked appleTV?

 

well I am not sure if I am ready to test beta apps, but is 电视精选 app a beta app?

 

well. atm there is not updaet for 2.7 firmware, you can either enable HDMI or AV output, if u went to have AV cabel u need to swtich the settings in the TVPAD settings see the first post. and see the first post as well for instruction how to install apps.

I only found the one channel last night with cantonese. will have to look at the forum and download other apps.
lots of movies but most in english from what i could find.

Any recommendations on cantonese channels? i could really do with tvbs kids like on the streaming site as my kids loved it.
