I had a customer with the same problem. He was set using WEP and it would not connect, when it does connect it does not retain the connection after reboot. Try removing all security and see if your TVpad will connect to your wireless without issues. If no security connects fine after reboot. Change your security setting to something different than what you have now. Either WPA or WPA2. Gooo luck!

Maybe check your spam folder. If it's not in your spam folder, you should send a message to the thread starter.

Andyl and seanchne444 to my understanding, TVpad post mark the cost of the TVpad at $25 for all their international deliveries. VAT is charged by your country and is usually the cost of the item plus the amount of postage. If both shipping and cost of item combined is less than *$50 (different country different VAT charges). They usually let it go and not charge the recipient. Whenever, you order something overseas, always expect to pay VAT. Hope this info was helpful.

Here in Holland you do not pay taxes if the value of the merchandise is less than €20 ($25 is just below that amount). For people that order multiple TVPads, you need to make separate orders for each TVPad since they can only tax each package at a time (not the total amount of all packages addressed to you). Anyway, this is all based on Holland, no clue how the import tax works in the UK though.

I have only seen one Korean movie when I was browsing the Movie Valley app. You can try to search using Pinyin as discussed on page 13 and 14 of this thread.

A lot of bandwidth ??? Not really, but a lot of connections ... probably. I believe all the live streams now use the Sopcast network (Lily TV app used to be direct streams), so it's a P2P network like the Torrent network which consumes both download and upload. My guess is that either your router cannot handle the amount of connections or most probably you have an ADSL line with low upload speed which is being saturated ... with the added bonus of it also killing your download :) (read this).

As for limiting the bandwidth of the TVPad, I wouldn't recommend that. We are talking about (live) streaming video here, if you start limiting that then you might as well throw the TVPad away since your streams will most probably become unwatchable.

Maybe we should take a step back. What is your Internet speed ?

Anyone who missed the mother's day promo can still use the $30 discount code for an order: 12839390
Also...for those of you with those network wireless problems, i highly recommend using Powerline Ethernet.

If you are going to use a promo code - use the one listed on the first post for the Phantoman who started this thread. Anyone else sharing promo codes on this thread is not cool! DO NOT USE THE CODE ABOVE.

Currently, a new app is being tested, it has 25 Japanese channels. It's not known yet when it will be available to the public

lol...you're so dumb. People have the power of choice. After a few quick clicks and searches it's obvious that code 19238315 is YOURS. I'm not forcing anyone to use it, just putting the possibility out there. jeez.

Well at least it's clear I'm not the one getting rich with any of these codes :) So let's focus on the TVPad discussion in this thread instead of codes (unless it's a code to crack the TVPad), thank you!

Besides the game shows, it's nice to watch food/travel shows even if you don't understand Japanese.

Also, there is now an English version of the TVpad website: http://en.tvpad.hk

Edit (24-5): a new HD Jade TVB channel seems to be added in the 粵海寬頻 app. Channel Number 1 and 3 are now HD Jade TVB. Too bad the quality of the new channel is not better than before. Maybe the source of the new HD Jade channel is different. I really hope they can increase the quality of the HD channel, that would be really nice.
