    RCA/ Composite question.

My friend just bough ta new unit. Since he does not have a HDMI jack, he is just using the standard line in with the RCA. When the TVPad is connected and powered up, all he get's is a black screen. Is there somewhere on the remote to set the video output?

    Thanks on advance.

Press F1 on the remote twice to switch video output.

Thanks! We ended up navigating in the crappy Pal setting and got it to work.

I just plugged a class 6 32 GB TF card in. I noticed the buffering and seems to improve the speed of the streams... I'm a happy man!

    Niji App shows E202 error.

    >.<Looks like a couple of the Japanese TV stations are off the air with the Niji show app with an E202 error (stations (19 - 21)). Is anyone having the same issue? This is also during their early afternoon (around 4pm).

    UPDATE:
Looks like they came back on after 10 min.

I think they are busy working on the channels these days, because yesterday the GDTV channel also became the ATV channel for a brief moment.

Is anyone in here an expert in reverse engineering, assembly language and disassemblers like IDA Pro ? I'm just trying to understand how these TVPad apps work.

Oh, does anyone know what force:// URLs are for ? Looks like the TVB VOD is using these type of URLs.

I’ve also been researching on the force:// URLs. But can't find any info on it.

    The Korean Apps

For the Korean Apps is there anyway to turn off the warning? Cause we know we can stream it. Or is TVPad planning to make a version compatible with the chinese version similar to NiJi Show?

I don't think they will make it compatible with the Chinese version, because nobody is going to buy the Korean TVpad then.

The first time that I tried the Korean apps I did not get a warning, but only on the 2nd time. So it should be possible to prevent the warning. I have a few ideas to make them work on the Chinese TVPad, but as usual not enough time. I'll see what I can do.

Guys..My TVPad crashed on me today and I'm unable to get it working. When I turned it on, I am able to see the splash screen "TVPAD" and after 5 seconds, the screen will go black. Does anyone how I can fix this? I'm not sure if it is a hardware issue as it looks like it is working fine so i'm leaning more to software. If anyone can tell me how I can rebuild this thing, that would be great.

Assuming you have the latest firmware, did you already try to press F1 twice after the screen goes black ? This will change the video output between HDMI and component (will reboot automatically for the change to take effect).

Nevermind guys...i figured out what my parents did. They switched video setting from HDMI to Component and to make things worst, they switched it from NTSC to PAL. Luckily I have an old TV that I was able to plug into and switch everything back to normal... My parents got to love them... They told me they did NOTHING to it...Yeah right.

So no one here has bought the Maige TV yet?
I just saw on their website and forum that they added more I-Cable channels.
They now have the I-Cable "HKC 18台" channel. I know my dad would like to watch this channel because he loves Hong Kong horse racing.
You can check out the list of channels at http://www.maige.tv/portal/channels. Just check the "香港" box for the Hong Kong channels list.

I don't mind paying the annual fee.
The only thing preventing me from buying this is not being able to read chinese. I have no clue on how to even register and pay for it -unsure.
I guess I just have to wait for either the English version of the website, or wait for someone to sell it on Ebay.
