That would be cool! My friends can be over watching the live feeds! I wonder if it's just a missing script or something from the initial load that causes the Korean app to kick in the error message.
Lol, now that was a short wait Let us know how it goes. Feel free to create a new Maige TV thread, I can also do it if you prefer.
Congratulations on being the first to buy one. How did you order and pay for it? Did you order it through the chinese order page website? Did you pay by credit card? I have a hard time reading chinese. All I know is that they mail it by EMS, which is pretty reliable here in the United States. Please tell us how you like the quality of the Hong Kong channels, especially the i-Cable channels.
Good to hear someone is trying something new. Hope you can provide us with an English review on Maigetv later on.
first i try to order from there main website : http://www.maige.tv/ but for someone reason i get some error with putting mine name and mine address. So i order it now on AlliExpress from alibaba.com a site thats look like Ebay. future info comming soon.
I assume you know already, but your contribution has been replicated on the TVPad forum as well : http://www.tvpadfans.com/thread-27238-1-1.html I did leave a message behind to the OP to give proper credits next time
You should call in for exchange. I have a unit here that's having the same problem. The unit is Dead. Should request a replacement.
Please read the next messages. The problem was solved. Just a simple case of changing the video output.
Can someone please translate this warning for me ? It's the Chinese version of the Korean warning message that you get when trying to play the live streams from the Korean apps.
"鑒權失敗, 該應用不適用於當前產品版本" "Authentication failure, this app does not apply to the current version of the product"
Waw, that was quick. Thanks a lot! Actually I totally forgot that jason13863 has already provided the translation in this post ... DOH! Anyway, for those who want to know. The Korean Solive app is identical to the Chinese 粵海寬頻 app. So the app is not the problem, it's the TVPad server that is the problem. The TVPad sends a request to the server containing amongst other things the TVPad model, firmware version, network MAC address and app ID. Now based on the translation of the error message, I guess they are comparing either the TVPad model or firmware version. At least I hope it's not the MAC address. I still wonder though why the Korean Solive app did work on the 1st try ... does it take a while before they add the MAC address to some sort of blacklist ??? Edit: Ok, found the part which the TVPad server is filtering on. So I managed to play the Korean live streams without the annoying error message. The only problem is that you will then get the same annoying error message in all the Chinese live streams Btw, this means that the Korean M311 TVPad cannot watch Chinese live streams. Anyway, the current method that I found only works if you have rooted your TVPad, so forget it. Edit 2: Okido, found a way to play both Chinese and Korean live streams without the annoying error message. This method still requires that you have root access to your TVPad though. So I'll keep looking for a more general method. Edit3: I think I can come up with a custom firmware that makes it possible to watch both Chinese and Korean live streams. I'll give this a try today if I get the chance.
hi i got my tvpad today but i cant connect it to the internet... dunno why... bought a usbwirelessthing for it but still no work.. can someone help me?
So you only tried it using the wifi usb adapter ? If so, are you using one of the brands that is certified with the TVPad ? Or did you also try it using a network cable ?
i am not sure if it's certified with the tvpad because normally you don't need a usb adapter... it's wifi ready it says
The TVPad does not come with a built-in wifi card. See this previous post. And it's known to work with only a few wifi usb adapters. See this post.
Well this little project is now completed. I managed to create a custom firmware that allows both Chinese and Korean live streaming apps to work -bigclap I wonder why I even bothered doing this actually, lol.
