FYI there was a terrible mass shooting by a lone gunman in Colorado. http://www.cnn.com/2012/07/20/us/colorado-shooting-security/index.html?hpt=hp_t2 http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=7415628n http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=7415642n http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/...oting_n_1688868.html?utm_hp_ref=entertainment I suspect that eventually, terrorists will finally figure out that with the current US gun laws, how easy it would be to hold an entire theater hostage, get on the news for a few days, and then massacre the hostages, all on national television. Note, for those that don't really follow international news, this already happened in Moscow a decade ago with Chechen terrorists. So, what should theaters now do to step up security? The way I see it is, their major problem becomes if they don't protect the movie goer, or at least give patrons a sense of safety within their venue, their business model then will go out the window. Obviously, theaters have already taken tremendous financial hits from both the on line and rental industry; inability to provide safety from terrorism would be their coup de grace. Note, theaters and officials would never publicly admit that this was a 'terrorist' attack because it opens up a whole can of political worms; they won't openly admit that they cannot protect against this without onerous procedures and requirements. Officials can hold the public hostage (with TSA type screenings) for their own good in airline transport because their is little alternative. However, this methodology would fail miserably with theaters as customers would simply stop going to movies and see films at home. So what next? Undercover movie marshalls? Private armed security? But IMHO, a setting like this is actually a perfect location for mass murder; theaters afford a large captive audience in one central location with limited ingress and egress points. Talk about a terrorist's wet dream. I don't even like going to movies anymore because of their high costs; with the apparent ease of such incidents like this, this will become another reason why they'll lose more customers.
don't think it's true but interesting. http://www.naturalnews.com/036536_James_Holmes_shooting_false_flag.html
lol yeah whenever I think back on all the people that I've encountered who could have been one of these people.. I suddenly feel really bad and really scared. :S
Most Americans don't realize it, but the NRA is a greater danger to them than Al-Qaeda. Hmmm... another conspiracy. Eric Holder is probably the greatest criminal mastermind of all time; yeah, right.
