Christine Kuo (苟芸慧) is currently aggressively promoted by TVB, appearing in dramas Tiger Cubs < 飛虎> and Ghetto Justice 2 <怒火街頭II>. Romantically linked with Kevin Cheng (苟芸慧) in recent weeks, Christine’s public profile has been increased dramatically. However, Christine’s acting performance has been met with mixed reviews. Since watching Christine’s performance in Ghetto Justice 2, many viewers expressed that Christine’s Cantonese has not improved over the years, and some suggested her to find another Hong Kong boyfriend to practice her Cantonese with. Born in Taiwan and raised in Canada, Cantonese is not Christine’s first language. yes agree kam kong more broken cantonese...but christine speaks irritating cantonese...maybe is just me haha. also that in between english add on...damn...TVB movie directors wake up...throw such shots out...it simply sucks.
But Gum Gong's cantonese is pure humour. He got a lot of fame he has right now from his broken cantonese (super trio/5 senses). TBH, i can stand Gum Gong more than Christine. Gum Gong broken cantonese can really help him in variety shows, but not Christine.

how do u buy her as a doctor though she gave mouth to mouth to a dude that threw up white stuff i would expect her to have some respiratory gear back there no? she is hot but maybe she should stick to pictures or do mandarin movies rofl. She is just wooden even the adele songs dont help. Gum gong just does not fit in this role for me at all his acting sucks here but he did have some pretty decent roles like his debut in EU i seriously didnt know he was a funny guy in real life and his role in no regrets was pretty good also.

imo, her accent is not a problem because at least i can understand it....but it's the acting that i'm worry about....
Yeah he's cool as a bad guy. He has that look when his hair is shaved short, like in EU. Kam Kong improved a lot, but yeah I think the reason why they speak like that is because of the way they learnt to talk. Something to do with their tongue. Mandarin speakers will mostly have that accent when speaking Cantonese. Haha, her acting is copeable, but she just needs to get rid of that accent/ Lol that website, I clicked on it and it reviewed people's outfit, harsh comments.
Time to hit Canada eh? But she didnt even learn the lang. till 2009.....ofc the canto isnt going to be any good. Maybe she should just speak eng the whole time lolz, Qbobo is even better. But the acting....idk, she has a pretty face, thing is...if a girl can act and be believeable in any role they play...dam yall got a problem on your hands, you wont know if your girl is faking it or not Janice's canto is pretty bad, she singing, well singing usually isnt an issue (look at Celine Dion). But theres a reason she isnt acting (a melody looking wasnt acting).
Are you lot noticing that only recently, these 'new' actors are speaking in mandarin on TVB Drama? I personally don't fully understand mandarin so it's sort of annoying that it's not Cantonese. JJ reminiscing her dead bf, speaks in front of his grave in mandarin.
JJ is a good actress....cant compare her to christine...i dont mind madarin actually...because she was immigrated from china in GJ...it's more real to speak the main language.....
