I think Qbobo's canto has improved like a lot, I remember last time i saw him playing a role of a lawyer, omg his canto was flawless...even I can't speak Canto like that
i prefer fala over christine any day. at least her acting is a bit better so is her canto, almost without accent.
not all tvb artists suck at english. besides, TVB is a hong kong tv station =p they only need to know cantonese and mandurin to appeal to the chinese population
She's pretty and all, but if you're going to be an actress, you need to know how to act. I don't understand why TVB keeps promoting people with bad acting skills. Shouldn't they take some acting lessons before taking on major roles in series? I tried to give her a chance, but every time she speaks, it just doesn't match her facial reactions. It just makes me laugh.
But you don't see them participate in a fcking america movie/show. If they did. That's how some of us feel about her.
Who said that TVB series are cantonese? There's a mixed of English and Mandarin. Ignorance can get help but stupidity .. well ... you fill in the blank. I personally haven't seen this drama yet so I can't comment on her acting. Seriously though, most of TVB newcomers started out bad and some remained that way even after years of taking on leading roles .. for example, KATE TSUI, RON NG, MYOLIE WU, BOSCO WONG ... come on .. anyone out there actually think these people are great actors and actresses?? They have improved a bit but basically selling on their looks and popularity .. they have absolutely no talent.
Wait.... What?! Which TVB series is in English or mixed English / Chinese? I agree with you that the majority of the actors these days are garbage and only survive on looks. Otherwise the old timers of the 70s & 80s wouldn't have to come back out to act like we see in a slew of recent series. Edit: I personally feel every actor should undergo vigorous Cantonese training on pronunciation and not have a lazy tongue pronunciation before they are allowed to act.
