Not correct :) A lot of the links can be played on the PC using VLC Player for example.

How to view from VLC on PC? I tried those links in Club TVPad with VLC player 2.03 and all of them are not working.

    Thanks for your help.

Just noticed that this week a "TVB News" app (made by TVB) has been released, this app can be found in the Apple app store or Android market. I hope they are also going to release an app for Jade channel. Then, I can use a cheap Android media player (combined with a proxy) to watch these livestreams. Not sure though whether these livestreams are stable enough to watch.

It offers latest news video clips and it has also live 24H news livestream, however this is currently only available to HK users. Maybe, someone can figure it out whether the 24H news livestream in this app is the same as on the TVB website or not.

    Android market

I'm currently in HK vacation and updated my iPod/iPad iOS 5.1.1 to 6 by OTA and afterwards I'm able to download apps from HK app store which previously was not possible...

So I can confirm the iOS app is streaming the same content as the website.

You can watch live or already broadcasted series/news

    Cheers :)

Interesting, wonder how that is going to affect you when you return to your country. I assume you will have a hard time connecting to app store in US. But I would keep the HK setting so you can continue to stream HK programs.

What app do you download in order to stream?

Indeed indeed... even though I change back to my country settings, I don't think it would affect the streaming of the app.

Because it's only download restricted to country and not the streaming?

If you have an iphone/ipod/ipad there's no need for an app. Just type these links into Safari browser to watch anywhere in the world.

If you are using Windows, you have to use VLC media player. The stream will drop after 30 secs.

Okay, I'm back from my HK vacation... :)

    Update:

The myTV app doesn't want to stream anymore, saying region restricted... you can only browse through the app catalog eg. show info's...

For the TVB News app it sometimes streams after a few times try, but buffers like hell...

Oh well, it was too easy I guess to be true ^^

    Cheers!

There is a 7 day free trial period. $4/month is not a bad price. If tvb.com continues to stream for free, it could be the cheapest alternative to what satellite and cable companies charges.
