Hong Kong actor, Sam Lee (李璨琛), known for his role as the rich kid turned passionate social worker in Ghetto Justice <怒火街頭> ended his bachelor days on November 17. Sam and fashion designer girlfriend, Pae Leung (梁志瑩) celebrated their marriage with a 39 table wedding banquet at North Point Harbor Plaza Hotel. The couple and their bridal party enjoyed the traditional wedding games prior to the evening banquet. Flanked by 16 groomsmen, the nervous groom serenaded a popular ballad by C- AllStar, Heavenly Stairs <天梯> to profess his love for the bride before entering the hotel room. Despite Sam’s out-of-tune singing, Pae was touched by his love. Love at the Beach After the fun and games, the couple and the rest of the party headed to the hotel for the wedding banquet. The happy couple told the press that they first met each other at a local beach. Sam noticed Pae first and went up to introduce himself, but she did not show much interest at all. However, the couple ran into each other again at a party and started dating soon afterwards. Sam and Pae are planning to have their honeymoon at the Maldives. They newlyweds want to start a family in 2 years. The Guests The guests include many of Sam’s friends in the entertainment circle such as Daniel Wu (吳彥祖) and his wife Lisa S., Eddie Cheung (張兆輝) and his wife, Timmy Hung (洪天明), JJ Jia (賈曉晨), Dayo Wong (黃子華), Edmond Leung (梁漢文), Eddie Kwan (關禮傑), Wilfred Lau (劉浩龍), Edison Chen (陳冠希), Jazz Lam (林子善) and Eric Tsang (曾志偉). Eric said, “There have been too many weddings in the last two months. I just woke up, but I’ll probably get wasted again.” The arrival of Joey Yung’s (容祖兒) boyfriend, Wilfred Lau, caused a frenzy by the paparazzi due to speculation over whether Joey is bisexual. When asked why Wilfred did not bring his girlfriend, Wilfred jokingly replied, “Damn!” Cheung Tat Ming (張達明), who is currently recovering from cancer and undergoing chemotherapy sessions for platinum neurotoxicity, stopped by the wedding banquet for 15 minutes to congratulate the newlyweds. Tat Ming smiled and posed for the reporters, and told them he felt a lot better lately and thanked everyone for their concerns. Edison Chen’s Mistaken Girlfriend The arrival of Edison Chen, who has a knack for being caught in sex scandals, also stirred reporters to leap to their feet. Edison attempted to enter the hotel from the side entrance, but reporters spotted him and asked him to enter from the main entrance for a few photos. Coincidentally, young model Wong Chee Kay (黃芝棋) arrived at the same time as Edison, the press thought they were attending the banquet together as a new couple. Also singer Edmond Leung (梁漢文), who usually gets drunk during wedding parties, drank very little due to a singing engagement later on in the evening.
