The affair between Jackie Chan (成龍) and his former lover, Elaine Ng (吳綺莉) resulted in the birth of his illegitimate daughter, Etta, in 1999. Over the years, Jackie did not spend any quality time with Etta as a father. He also decided that he will not leave any money to his daughter in his will. Not even a Penny for Daughter! In a recent interview, Jackie spoke about his extra-marital affair with Elaine and their illegitimate daughter for the first time. He revealed that he had asked his wife, Joan Lin (林鳳嬌), for a divorce after the affair was exposed in 1999. Surprisingly, Joan did not even scold him but empathized with his situation instead, advising him to handle the situation immediately. Feeling guilty and remorseful, Jackie decided to change his will to split his estates between his charity foundation with Joan. Jackie revealed that he will not leave even a penny out of his $2.2 billion worth of assets to his illegitimate daughter, Etta, in his will. Etta had never questioned her about Jackie, but knew of their dating relationship. Earlier reports suggested that Elaine had received a large settlement from Jackie after their breakup. Once again, Elaine stressed that these reports were absolutely false. I never liked Jackie Chan and I am frankly disgusted with Elaine Ng's affair with him. The age differences and the birth of the daughter are very disturbing. These people are irresponsible and the casualty here is the daughter who must face the fact that she was conceived from an extra-marital affair and abandoned by her very own father. Talk about family value and human moral .. worst than an animal to have that audacity to publicly admit it.
guys, neither side wants anything to do with each other... it clearly says that mother and daughter don't talk about the past or don't want to think about the past... and Jackie had his own shit to deal with... after all these years, they've moved on, as in both sides have moved on... I'm not say Jackie's doing the right thing... I'm simply saying by doing nothing, and choosing to do nothing isn't the wrong thing either...
I think it won't be hurt for Jacky to set up a funds, from which goes for school educations. Is that too much to ask?

A lot of people know Jackie is a womanizer and the way he handled the issue with Etta is his daughter was just bad. Don't know what went on between them two if they both came up to not see each other at all. Plus we can't really trust anything they say, he could had secretly given money to her.

at the end of the day, still your daughter whether you want to admit or not, "illegitimate" or not. the child is innocent. it takes 2 to tango, both are responsible for actions and yet jackie takes no responsibility. not a man in my books. the mother has no choice, thats her child and shes doing the best she can to protect her daughter at this point.

The mother is not in any financial hole, she can take care of herself and her daughter just fine...
