Actually, he had faced life for tricking his GF into taking an abortion bill, causing her miscarriage. Instead, he avoided that by pleading guilty to product tampering and conspiracy and now faces fifteen years at his sentencing. Frankly, he should be sentenced to fifteen years. Despite having a slam dunk case with all the evidence needed to convict, likely the prosecutor wanted to sidestep the hot button issue of whether the fetus was technically and actually considered a life insofar as for murder charge purposes, and opting for a guilty verdict without having to go to trial at all.

I know which way you're heading, but highly doubtful. Most courts in the US side with the Woman being endowed with all the rights of the pregnancy, where as the Man has all the responsibility for it. This may not seem fair, but in the eyes of the law (that is, how laws are written and interpreted currently), that's the extent of the situation. Hence, if the GF went ahead with an abortion against the BF's wishes, there's very little legal recourse for him.
