Carol seemed anxious when seeing Tyrese which is of no surprise since she did claim to have killed the two prisoners shall I say? I wasn't expecting her to show up at that moment. At some moment I thought Judith would have suffocated from the hands of Lizzie (the name that you was thinking of). Her sister, Mika seem to be very inexperienced and worried some. So Ralph, any reason why Lizzie zoned out when she tried to cushion the sound of Judith's cry?

Good episode and from what I read, I thought Daryl would have deserted Beth as she seem to be holding back Daryl.

Abraham? Is he like the hunter that I've been hearing about from speculators...Oh and apparently Morgan will appear in this last half of season four.

Ps, didn't realise Maggie accent change and yeah surprised Glen rushed through the group of walkers, especially when he is still recovering from the sickness. He could have circled around. Safer too, at least in my opinion.

...Abraham Ford was an extremely significant role in the print version, IMHO a Tyreese, Shane, and Dale all rolled into one. In the comics he is introduced in issue 53, and dies in issue 98, a pretty substantial storyline presence. He arrived with two other characters; a would be girl friend (Rosita Espinosa), and the self proclaimed "scientist" (Eugene Porter). As for Lizzie (thanks for the name), the teenage wannabe baby killer; I think she has major psychological issues. IIRC, she was the one who I had suspected was leaving dissected rats to feed the walkers; she's emotionally cold to the point of pathological. Mika seems to be a lot more of what you would expect in a little girl; scared shit and crying all the time, ready to run at the first sign of danger.

Beth is definitely a pain in the ass with her unreasonable assumptions and the demands for action that she then places on them. If anything, they should be gathering their resources in a relatively safe place to rest, heal and to ensure their survival (like Rick, Carl, Michonne had done). Her unrealistic and desperate desire to "find" others seriously leaves them at tremendous risk, as does Maggie's almost psychotic motivation to find Glenn (talk about clingy women, eh? LOL...) In the comic version, Rick, Andrea (now dead in the televised series) and their group encountered Abraham. But this latest version shows Glenn and, of all people, Tara Chambler (one of the prison invaders) meeting with him instead. Does this mean that Tara Chambler is going to be given a reprieve from the comic book ending and a longer story life in the series? Or, is she going to be used as emotional walker fodder, which was hinted at in one of the trailers (with Abraham admonishing Glenn to "forget about her, she's gone...) but we're uncertain as to exactly whom they're referring to? I guess we'll know next week, eh?

All in all, it was a pretty productive stage setting episode towards the next few weeks of story telling; many new questions rather than answers.

thanks for that! oh did you realise that the scene wasn't really in order. Meaning, when Daryl and Beth appeared to the scene, it was the things left behind by Tyrese and others, the rabbits in the bog wood, the squashed grapes and even the dead bodies on the rail.

Watched a speculator and read some comments , some say that the map or notice board that says come into "Sanctuary/Terminus" survivals are here. Something along that line, it could be the hunters trying to lure in survivors and ultimately eat them.

Also Abraham could have been talking about Glenn wife, Maggie, hence the lack of emotional expression on Glenn. Ie. if Tara was the one that died he would at least showed some grief despite the conflict they once had (regardless of her lack of contribution to the problem).

Nevertheless, hardcore fans are so good at speculating some small hints haha. Oh the hitchhiker thing about escaped Inmates was funny, I like how they focused on it twice in different scenes

    Yes indeed, the...

...chronology of events allowed the show to pose a question, and then provide the answers, but also allowed the viewer to understand how Beth and Daryl mistakenly thought that they were dead.

And yes, it was funny with the hitchhiker warning signs (which are actually real). Showing it several times for different characters just burnishes the fact that they were all in the same area, albeit at slightly different times.

As for the inviting sign being a lure; that may well be so as (I forget which) there were several issue that dealt with cannibals, one of which captured and ate Dale's leg while he had to watch. They kept him alive to keep his flesh fresh for a later meal. Of course, Dale had already died in the televised series so I don't know if that part of the storyline will get any play.

I'm not so sure if Glenn would be emotionless if that were his wife that died. I mean, come on; that's his wife. If a complete stranger, especially one that had only recently tried to kill you, suddenly died... I'm sure Glenn wouldn't be as upset.

yeah exactly the point I was trying to make, if it was Maggie then he would had expressed his outbreak in emotion

The promotional trailer also showed Rick hiding. It could be Abraham or maybe a hunter. Nevertheless, it will be interesting

he can't shoot to save people, some horrible shooter.

I wonder who the group were that invaded ricks, Carl and michonne new home. Seem quite violent as they were fighting their own people. At one moment I thought the one that got knocked out or strangled to death would reanimate and turn, then somehow attack rick. I felt like I was there felt so real and that shows good camera angle and such.

Oh at the start where Abraham tries to kill the female walker and the weapon got stuck, the CGI there was so evident lol

    Which is why...

...was unbelievable. Given that they've survived that long already (more than two zombie years), the guy who strangled the other would have known that the dead would reanimate regardless of whether they were bitten or not. Hence, he would have put a knife or bullet into the guy's head before falling asleep; he didn't; so one wonders how he survived that long. Also, the bit with Carl and Michonne getting 'frank and friendly' with each other is a pain in the ass to watch. It feels so unnatural and contrived, like the new mom trying to connect with a stepson. Michonne is believable only when she's looking angry or emotionless; when she smiles and tries to put on a friendly face her character becomes totally unbelievable for me. Eugene shooting up the deuce and a half was tragic. In the comic, that truck was life saving for a variety of reasons, as it's nearly all terrain and so tall that walkers cannot easily assault it. I think I would have shot Eugene if I were Abraham. And Rosita with her hot pants? What can I say? I'm sure Abraham is tapping that or else why bring her along? But one wonders why Rosita needs to put on an outfit with such sex appeal in a zombie apocalypse? It has no pockets and offers zero protection against the elements. In such a hostile environ would hot sexy look be even thought about? Doubtful; it would be like seeing American woman combat soldiers wearing hot pants in Iraq or Afghanistan; that is, highly unlikely.

Yeah I agree with Michonne, it feels out of character and the room with all the dead corpse was quite creepy because they were all dried up, face sunken in.etc All lying in their bed with one on the chair.

    Rosita, she's hot!

Oh and yeah apparently that guy got knocked out as he was still breathing (unless that was Rick). Nevertheless, how can they not hear Rick panting. The toilet scene was funny, the guy was shocked. Maybe he was the one that turned (towards the end) instead of the one near the bed.

  10. shouldn't people already expect this to have spoilers? anyways.. I think the guy just feinted from being strangled and not actually dead. But the scientist.. what a fuckin' moron.. and that hair.. really not believable whatsoever as being humanities last hope. I was thinking for sure he was gonna die holding the guy like a dumbass.

Should people expect threads like this to have spoilers? Absolutely. But that doesn't mean that I personally have to be rude; if it takes me an extra 2 seconds to observe simple forum etiquette rather than ruin someone else's enjoyment of a show, then why not?

And in answer to burpyierz's question:

Code for spoiler is: [s.poiler=] and [/s.poiler] (remove the period between letters s and p for code to be active).

    • Anything placed between those two codes will be hidden from view until button is pressed.
    • Anything placed after equal sign will show as text in the spoiler button.
    • You CANNOT have an apostrophe anywhere in this code or it will be rendered inactive.
You can get an idea of how the spoiler or other codes work by quoting a reply from that person and then, in your reply field, examine how their text is written.

...why Rick opened the door to the bathroom before he climbed out the window, and then after the shooting started, realized that the thug he killed must have turned and was now attacking the others. That was a neat trick. I also agree re the "scientist" being a moron. In the comic series, it turns out that Eugene was a total lie. He knew that he was too weak and useless alone to survive unless he had serious help. So he concocted a bullshit story about "knowing 'classified' secrets and having to travel to DC to stop the plague," ...to get stronger and capable men (like Abraham) to protect him. He is later revealed to be, in reality, just a high school science teacher knowing nothing special at all. Also, your commentary about his hair is dead on; how the heck can they get their hair to be so well coiffed in the midst of an electrical blackout like a zombie apocalypse? It isn't just him, it's the entire show. One can't help but notice that not only is their hair well groom, but their clothes are exceptionally clean. One simply has to look at a homeless person on the street and realize that clothing goes down the drain pretty quick. They've been literally wearing the same clothes for two years now; they should be in tatters.

As for Daryl and Beth being out alone in the woods; I'm wondering why isn't he hitting on that? You know, end of the world and all? But I guess we'll find out next week. One of the things that I don't see them doing is leaving messages for each other. Given that they're all passing the same sign on the road, one could imagine that they would have left a written sign, like all the other written messages the show had put up from others before?

As it turns out, both Maggie and Tara Chambler is still alive; Abraham was only speaking in the hypothetical and not established fact. I wonder if Glenn's going to start hitting on Tara only to have Maggie show up? Oops, how awkward... LOL...

ohhh yeah that's true never realised why he opened the door until you mentioned it.

That Eugene , damn him. Got to give him props for being smart to come up with something as ludicrous as his though. So what if he gots to his destination, people are probably dead.

Yeah Daryl be like, ~tap that, all over the floor, tap that.~...blah blah blah

Today's episode, the Grove, was brutal!!!! Lizzie killed her sister and Carol headshot her in a single clean shot, KaBOooooooooooOMMMMM
Found it difficult to make out the words that Tyreese was whispering.

I found it weird how the stove still work, also how large animals like the deer is still alive in a state like this

No spoiler tag used because it seems like no one cares about this thread haha

Actually, I hadn't had a chance to watch the last two episodes because work had been so busy.

...now isn't this awkward :( You'll still find the episode very dark. IT shouldn't have been much of a spoiler to you though because you have read the comic series, which means you more or less expected this to happen (the comic was the two boys and apparently Carl put one of them down because he killed his brother <-- according to a review video on YouTube)
