Can anybody help with with the problems regarding to TVpad?
Hello everyone, I'm here to ask if there is anyway to restrict the bandwidth for the TVpad streaming without my dad complains that he can't stream properly? The situation is like this, my father, the owner of the TVpad that streams every single day and it dramatically affect the internet of all of us within the family. For example, the normal ping when he is not streaming stays around 37-55, when he starts streaming, the ping bumps up to 300-700, it honestly is very annoying. I tried talking to him to stop that but since he is the father, he would just told me to back off and shut the hell up or move out. He knows nothing about that TVpad sucks up tones of bandwidth, our download speed is at 16mbs and upload speed is at 1.5mbs. I'm honestly tired of explaining a million times that his TVpad is seriously affecting our internet quality, I don't know if he understands but just ignore us or he seriously doesnt understand. We now having a lot of problems regarding to the internet "sharing", I'm very tired of arguing each other everyday without a solution. Please help me out.. I do have a router that can enable bandwidth control. How much engress and ingress speed in kbs I can set up to so he won't suck up all the bandwidths but can still stream his TV shows? Please help me out... Thanks everyone for your time.

Why don't you experiment with the routers settings? Try allowing a quarter of the available bandwidth to the TVPad and see if everything is ok, if not increase in small increments until everyone is happy?

16mbs down and 1.5mbs up should be enough to share (unless you're doing multiple streams or gaming).

Get a class 6 or class 10 micro sd card (aka tf card). I bought a new card and it helped with the buffering a lot where previously we thought it was a bandwidth issue.

If that doesn't help, I would get a docsis 3 modem if you are using docsis 2, and if that doesn't work, then upgrade to a higher tier/more bandwidth internet plan.

I bought the tvpad3 and it doesnt have live channels and recorded channels. The price is around 224 dollars USD but overall it will be a great investment since you get to watch drama right on the spot. Bad part is that you have to wait or wake up early to watch. It is better than monthly cable or international TVBN which you pay around 40-100 dollars a month . Nice piece of equipment for lifetime enjoymenty

Hey is anyone having problems with the app 港粤快看 (the one with the disk and a blue flame, the one used to watch tvb drams)? Everytime I open the app it says data cannot be downloaded. Does anyone have a fix for this problem?

    Oh yeah TVpad 1st gen.

    Thanks

Actually it's a couple of the apps.

ARgghhh need some advice, our TVPads app 粤海宽屏 has been acting sporadic for months, it sometimes work other times and don't it just boots us out. I am pulling hairs out and not making heads or tails of this. I have a TVPad M121-3, after a lot of checking around, the firmware version is 3.26 and the Model is M121_311_GV0S2 in system info so i think its up to date. after a lot of googling I think i need to upgrade to 粤海宽屏2 (yhkp2_sj380.pkg) and 粵海直播 (1390652321525.pkg) ... so using the method:

I keep getting no Apps found on the card! It does not see it I just dont understand What am I doing wrong?! Pleaseeeeeeeeeee help
