I see a lot of fruits mostly for dessert, chocolate fondue but I hadn't seen ice cream...It looks fun...
I've had other Red Bean items before that were great. I think it was just that particular brand; the missus bought them in some Chinese supermarket and I've never seen that label before. The first few seconds it tastes sweet but then started to leave a bitter aftertaste. Even the cold from the ice cream couldn't mask the foul flavor. I ate about a third of it and threw the rest out, all the while thinking of some horror food story coming out of the PRC...
don't think I've seen much ice cream from PRC in the US... mostly taiwan, korea, or japan at asian markets.
I've seen some of the weirdest flavour ice creams in Japan and tried a few (lavender, wasabi) while holidaying there a while ago.
You have to have it again... and take a photo of it. my imagination is making this combo look/taste super weird
