Despite the hot and unforgiving summer climate of Hong Kong, local celebrities seem to possess glowing hydrated skin under all conditions. Singers and actresses including Michelle Reis (李嘉欣), Joey Yung (容祖兒), Kelly Chan (陳慧琳), Sammi Cheng (鄭秀文), and Rosamund Kwan (關之琳) reveal their secrets in maintaining a healthy complexion amidst the daily variations in humidity. Michelle Reis Only Eats Fruit For Breakfast In order to detoxify her body each morning, Michelle insists on eating only fruit for breakfast. She believes keeping her digestive system clean is optimal for healthy skin. Furthermore, she would ensure her face is devoid of makeup on at least one day per week. This way, her skin would have room to breathe once in a while and be relatively free of chemicals. Michelle would also devote some time in treating herself to a hydrating face-mask. Joey Yung Started Using Cosmetics at Age 7 Many people believe that women should start taking care of their skin at around the age of 25, but Joey started to use her mother’s cosmetics products at the young age of 7. When she was 10 years old, she even made her own natural face-mask. Joey’s determination to keep her skin looking healthy at an early age definitely seems to be worth the results. Kelly Chan and Sammi Cheng Emphasize Skincare Routine No matter how busy they may be, Kelly and Sammi ensure they complete all the steps in their skincare routine each day and night. This includes removing makeup, washing the face, patting on a toner, and applying a hydrating moisturizer. Sammi rarely visits beauty salons, and believes the secret to healthy skin is keeping her skincare method simple. She expressed that removing makeup properly and keeping her skin hydrated are the two most important steps. Rosamund Kwan Avoids Direct Sunlight Besides using lotions that lock in moisture, Rosamund also avoids directly exposing herself to sunlight in order to minimize the harm that UV rays can cause. She also aims to receive as much sleep as possible, and avoids eating oily or spicy foods. Creds: Ming Pao
Thats just like that show "Am I healthy" with Ah Dat. Every episode, they introduce a food item, and it's like have one of these everyday and you'll feel better. I'm like wtf, just having 2 of those is already filling. How do i eat 10 episodes worth of food everyday...... These are their personal tips, and not to recommend to other because everyone is different. I mean Joey, start using cosmetics at 7? Like that just shows the kind of background she comes from. Eating fruits only in the morning, causes too much acidity in the stomach while waking up. That in the long term causes internal problems. The only reasonable thing is Kelly and Sammi that follows a routine.
I think UV ray damage plays a big role for a lot of people, especially for light skin people. NO amount of skin care will help as much as protecting yourself from UV ray damage. But we still need to take in some sunlight to help our body make vitamin D. So, put on some sunscreen spf 30 and reapply if needed to. Good genes plays a huge role too.
I think not just women, but also guys need to take care of their skin as well.. Whilst not using make up ~ y'all know that guys do use foundations and the whole lot as well, everyone just needs to find a routine for themselves and integrate it into their daily lifestyles ~ Stay hydrated and drink lots of water # that's my tip and if you don't need to put all that junk on your face, then don't ~ sometimes it does more harm than good to your skin.
Products for men have increase a lot cause these days men care about their skins as well some even more than women. There are so many ways to help yourself, eating right, exercising, cleanser, toner, moisturizer, spf, anti aging, eye cream, serum with vitamin C+E, hyaluronic acid and the listing goes on and on. It's kinda hard to pick the right product for your own skin cause their are just so much.
I know right, and different products match different skin types ~ so whilst your friend might recommend "try this try that" its really good...I have no doubt it is but whether it will suit my skin is a different story...
So true, our skin also changes as we age and with the seasons. So we need to always update what works and what doesn't...
Yes, and when you buy so many products because you thought you could try it out etc or it was discounted for a larger amount ~ and time flies by then you realise oh sugar it's expired! ....DO NOT USE IT LOL ~
I know that feeling, bought some product really cheap, a pack of 4 bottles like the end of last year and I hadn't even finish one bottle. Still awhile before it expired but seem so wasteful.
Yup - that's what happened when i bought a load of facial masks back, had to give it out quickly to friends and families so they could use it while it was still in date haha and then me and my sis ended up getting the same product and I was oh man...ended up throwing away one set because it was too much and had expired and it was enough for us to share......
All these are good for skins except maybe starting at 7,,....its a bit too early...... and dont forget, even u r inside, your pc, lights have uv too, must sunscreens
Aww man, is this why i always feel not quite right when I just have apples & oranges for breakfast... i thought i just had a weak stomach Also, as a guy there's so many products out there now, it's sooooo confusing. Skin care regime, so far includes a daily cleanser, pore refiner, day & night moisturizer, blemish control (sometimes), mud masks (trying for 3 times a week but can barely be arsed to do it more than once)... no make -up per se... sometimes just touch up here n there with under eye concealer cos panda eyes are sooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad
You gotta eat different fruits in the morning, try having a banana first to give you that energy boost and it fills you up....you even even use the skin as a teeth whitener....and then having the banana to line your stomach first...then move on to the slightly more acidic fruits but maybe have some nuts and berrys to balance it out...so by the time the acid breaks down its moving through the foods and then to your stomach.....
I just use good ol soap and water to wash my face and moisturizing walgreens lotion for my face I have eczema so I don't have issues with oily skin
