Actress and Model Chrissie Chau (周秀娜) made an appearance at an "TISSOT" watch event lately, it was noted that she had a bandage over her ankle indicating an injury.

Chrissie explained that whilst filming earlier on, she had tripped and hurt her left leg causing an old injury to spring up which resulted in her ligament becoming torn loose.

Despite this, she still attended the function in 5 inch heels.

"I have been to the doctors, it is an old injury and the doctor has suggested to me it will be best to get it operated on, however it requires a long resting period, during which I can not work for at least half a year."

"After the surgery, it was advised that I avoid any strenuous exercise and I will try my best to not wear high heels but today I wanted to look my best so made an exception haha."

What's more important health or beauty?

"Of course, my health is more important, I need to find a boyfriend first, who will be there to look out for me, pick me up when I fall and carry me when I'm tired"

That's a serious injury, wonder if it's an achillies tendon. Don't think so cause she won't be able to walk with that injury.

Dam. Right now my leg has some pretty serious pain but xrays show nothing is broken. I wonder if it's torn ligament too. That'll put me out of commission for a few weeks lol =/
At least she can still walk so that's good.

    Weeks? lol

You'll be out for months...and rehab too. Don't the xrays tell you if there are ligament issues?

I remember Erik Karlsson had his cut by skates, he was out for months. He returned to the ice 10 weeks after the injury occurred, pretty amazing. But it's a very scary injury..

But I don't get why she still has to wear heels. Could have ended up very bad especially with an injured ankle. Same goes with Ella (wearing heels when pregnant). Just be safe goddamit.

Flat shoes can be sexy too.... High heels give the illusion of longer legs but......hmm...... health before beauty!

'Die' looking beautiful before they give up their beauty

I'm very surprised that being so health conscious, the celebs are still doing unnecessary risks takes ~ "the show must go on"

  10. Crissie is a smart cookie... very focused on what she needs to do to make the $$$ ... I admire her for her brains/smarts in getting to where she needs/wants in life.

Them heels though, look serious even if she has an injury

Doesn't she have her own bra/lingerie store? Don't need to be working when injured if you make money from personal business..

MRI would better tell you if you have any torn ligaments or any other issues. But yea, if it's torn, after surgery, you can walk within a few weeks, but still need rehab. Any physical activities should most likely be avoided. Professional athletes takes months (10months to a year) after surgery because of all the physical punishment they take on their knees. For someone like Chrissy who might do some dangerous scenes, might take similar time but probably not the full 10 months to a year

Yeah like I said Xrays showed nothing broken. But that's xrays. I had an MRI but i'm not sure if they looked at it carefully.

For now i'm saying it's Jumpers Knee, because it can still do everything, but there's discomfort when i straighten it, or walk up stairs. So i'm avoiding all high impact sports and just doing light work outs, mostly upper body. Legs are too big anyways.

It's more common for people who plays sports, wear a knee support. It helps when I play basketball. ..

I won't be surprised if she did, but I don't remember reading anything about it being fake.

  18. ^Correct. She has her own line of lingerie. Not sure about own store but definitely her own line (Y)

She was on 'Wanna Bros' show and they asked her... she said she is 100% all natural (Y)
