The cast of TVB’s anniversary drama With or Without You <東坡家事>, including lead stars Bobby Au Yeung (歐陽震華) and Joey Meng (萬綺雯) attended TVB’s 48th Anniversary Series Press Conference held on September 9. With or Without You is one of the four major anniversary dramas to be aired at the end of the year. When the cast for the four dramas gathered together for press photos, Bobby stood in the middle, showing off his position as TVB’s big brother actor. Bobby laughed and said he got the middle spot because he stood in line early. Asking if Bobby has the confidence to win Best Actor this year, which will partially be determined by popular vote, his costar Joey said with a laugh, “I’m getting my entire family to vote for Bobby.” Bobby then added, “I’m also doing the same. I’m already starting to campaign for votes. If I don’t do it, then no one would vote for me!” When speaking about the TV King award, Bobby said, “My thinking has gotten much cheaper. In the past I didn’t care [about TV King], but now I really want it!” Who is Bobby’s biggest opponent? “I’ll be happy either way for the winner!” Is Wayne Lai (黎耀祥) considered a tough competitor? “He’s not an opponent. He’s my brother! But he has two dramas and I only have one. How am I going to beat that? I will not think too much into it. Since I’m already considered for the award, I consider that a win for me.” Does Joey have the confidence to win TV Queen? Joey turned stern and said, “Just like every year, I’m facing it with a normal mindset.” With or Without You, which will premiere on October 26, is about the life of Song dynasty scholar Su Tungpo. The comedy drama went to Wuxi earlier this year for principal photography. Bobby said the actresses in the drama had the toughest filming experience due to the freezing weather. “When we were shooting in the mainland, it was snowing. I looked pretty fat then as I got to wear a jacket underneath my costume. Originally Joey wanted to do that too, but the director said she would not look good on camera. He is a good actor but for this year i think there are other actors that deserve it more...and no Im sorry but Joey`s acting is bad so no TVB Queen for her
Rather her get it then Grace...and Bobby should get it just for being a senior veteran and still being at TVB for this long. Although I don't know if he's ever won the award before...
Mandy deserves more recognition in general. But I don't think Nancy in Ghost OT is worthy of TV Queen.
Bobby want s King for his 1 role in his 1 series this year? He's a veteran but will his performance be better than Wayne's in that other series coming up?
Please don't sayJoey Meng is a good actress. She's not. She starves herself, thinking she is like in her 20s. All she does is act cute, I wanna throw up. Bobby used to be cool, but his head shape looks like a minion or kidney bean now. At the end of the day, these awards are fake anyways. LOL... In Ghost of OT, 田蕊妮, was the way better... LOL @ nancy being recognized.
I'd like to see someone other than the 'regular/vets' win the awards... but not just some newb that TVB is tryign to promote though
