i have a mibox at home too... but its apps are very hit and miss... the china ep apps seem to be more consistent than the Korean ones...
For TVPad4 (5.054 Firmware), Use auto dns (don't need to do anything). I've been using these apps for a month with no problem. These basically covered everything i need. Don't need to install too many apps. Yuetv has tvb live, cantonese movies, tvb vod, hktv and china drama. https://mega.nz/#!SFV3UahA!rrUF5Hmb6EdSN1S2MeRCxVAivowVxDNmUHKBsyk1xHA Youku, Vego, M, VZT, K (karaoke) Tv plus 2.0 has over 300+ live china tv. almost all channels working. 36TV for all Taiwan http://www.mediafire.com/download/7gj787de2gmgvye/T4Android-App.zip I also use the Shafa app. it helps u update those apps from time to time. http://www.shafa.com/market Here is the instruction... http://tvpadnews.com/2015/11/26/how-to-install-app-on-your-tvpad-4-yuetv-apk/
Yeah, could have gotten a no brand locally that works for $175, but because of the holiday they are claiming short supply and jack up the price to $190! I guess I'll wait, good luck with yours.
Here's a review of the Unblock TV2 http://tvpadnews.com/2015/12/20/unblocktech-ub-box-gen2-box-review/
For those with a TVPad1 where the green man is not turning on anymore, I managed to circumvent the login mechanism and force the green man to be on even when the servers are down. I believe TVPad2/3 with the latest firmware had this already. Just need to create a new firmware with the new changes and do some further QA testing before I can share it. Of course this will not help with the live stream and VOD apps which are currently down, but at least you will then be able to use the Phanto and TMP apps on your TVPad1. Stay tuned ...
Disclaimer: If you decide to install or use the custom TVPad1 firmware mentioned below, then you are doing so at your own risk. You agree that no one other than yourself will be liable for any damages or loss of data that may be incurred as a result of installing this firmware. Now that we got the legal stuff out of the way, this is the custom firmware version 3.27 which enables the green man on TVPad1 even when the TVPad authentication servers are down. You will then be able to run apps again on your TVPad1. This firmware will also give you root access. It can be found here. Root username is root and the password is password (yes I know, very original). You can telnet to port 23 or FTP to port 21 for access. This firmware is only recommended for those people where the green man won't turn on anymore, thus making you unable to run any apps. If the little green man is on, then there is no need to install this firmware. Keep in mind that (unlike with TVPad2/3) you will have to re-install your apps again after the firmware upgrade. Once you install this firmware, you can install and run this app to downgrade the firmware version back to 3.26.
Double-posting won't get you an answer sooner. I found the following version 3.94 firmware for TVPad2 via Google: http://www.mediafire.com/download/2igb1xn400zgp6d/creatent_usb_update_M233_4300.rar . TVPad2 and 3 do not require any custom firmware to enable the green man icon.
Sorry...wasn't a double post the questions were different Thanks for the firmware update....confirmed it is working!!! ***I believe I asked you for the creation of this back in the days when clubtvpad was still up*** I predict this day would come when the green guy won;t go green
Just wondering....What was modified in this firmware hack? if we had the FTP enabled on the tvpad would we be able to make the changes without needing to upgrade firmware? it's difficult to redownload all the pkg files for the m121s when clubtvpad is down
https://mega.nz/#!GBVSTSxa!4SbdapfNDsTjdLcQUxGfNSFJ5H3b-IWJ-RYx-Svnw4Y this is all the apps that i've got....most of the live streaming apps still work after phanto's fix
Hi DA fam, I did a little experimenting this past week. I bought the MXQ Android tv box $35 on Amazon and side loaded shafa. http://www.shafa.com/market Here are some of the important apps that works... Youku for china, 36tv for taiwan, K for karaoke, vchannel for tvb and tv plus 2.0 with over 300+ live channels. It also came with kodi installed with the box. That basically covered all the stuff that u would need. The only thing i don't like is the vchannel interface on a tv box. Wish someone would back up and share the unblocktech tv box tvb apk apps or app store, so i can try it. if it works, we have our own little tvpad for cheap. Time to dump 4 of my tvpad3 in the trash.
LOL, you must be a lawyer We all saw this day coming and I did try in the past to disable the authentication for TVPad1, but I didn't succeed back then. I was working on so many TVPad projects back then that I literally ran out of time to do anything else in my life. Now I was able to focus on one specific thing and it took me about 3 days to figure it out. I simply modified (disabled) the login process. For those with a rooted TVPad unit, here you can find the individual fix for the green man issue. Simply copy id to /home/config and run loginforce. I normally first kill the original login process though (e.g. killall login) to prevent it from somehow turning the green man off again. The loginforce binary is a modified /home/program/login binary. In the custom firmware I simply replaced it.
Thanks again Phanto....You're the very best when we need things done to our TVPADS recorder app 1.1 Phanto app 2.10 tvpadmp app 1.1 remote app 2.0 These were all that I've got before clubtvpad went down...did you have anymore amazing creations other than the ones I've listed or if there were any new versions?
Well beside the root apps and some proof of concept apps, I released a Phanto v2.2 app as well, but to be honest I really do not remember what new features I added there. I also lost my changelog when the clubtvpad forum went down
Phanto could you upload the source files for the To326.pkg app just before it's compiled......also what program is used for the compiling So much was lost when the clubtvpad forum went belly up
If you have root access you can find the source code in the /program/downgrade directory after you install the app. It simply overwrites the version files. I plan to provide information about compiling in the future on the tvpadtalk.ca forum. I rather not make this thread too technical.
