Former beauty queens Grace Chan (陳凱琳), Sisley Choi (蔡思貝), and more, recently went back to their respective hometowns to film the TVB reality show A Starry Homecoming <星星探親團>. Grace, winner of the 2013 Miss Hong Kong Pageant, went back to Vancouver, Canada, where she attended high school and university. Sisley, 2013’s runner-up, visited her high school in New Zealand. At a press conference for the show, Grace and Sisley recalled their experiences while visiting their hometown. Grace said her schoolteachers were surprised that she decided to pursue a career in entertainment, as Grace was always known to be a quiet and unassuming student. “Most people just remembered me as Deric’s [Grace’s brother] sister, so they were all surprised that I was the one who decided to join the industry.” Earlier, Grace shared a school portrait of her when she was in high school. She said, “A lot of people would look at older pictures and wonder if I did plastic surgery. I did have braces, so that picture showed how I looked like before I had braces. I didn’t get braces until I was in college.” Sisley, on the other hand, went back to her old high school in New Zealand. “It got me very emotional,” she said when she visited her old campus. “We filmed the episode while I was wearing my old uniform. Some teachers even remembered me. I was the leader of an art club so I was in charge of many events.” Creds: Oriental Daily
I still see a resemblance but she really does look mixed. Sucks to have braces in college, I had braces in senior year of high school onto sophomore year of college...I thought it was pretty embarrassing lol
the appearance has alot to do with what your mom has been looking at during the first 9 months. the superstitution is when you are pregnant don't watch scary movies, silly monkeys, look at cute looking babies if you want your baby to look cute. if both your parents are both asian and the baby born looking like a bit non asian and based on your location residing with caucasion people. this holds true on the old saying because my sister when she was pregnant and works in a job working with and seeing caucasion everyday. her kids look a bit non asian.
Oh ! You had them late. When I thing about it I'm happy I was younger whan I had them, they make us so ugly and I remember I was very careful not smiling I do feel the same when we look at her parents we don't see any similarity.
