Based on the Chinese fantasy novel “Investiture of the Gods” 《封神榜》, “League of Gods” 《封神傳奇》the HK$600 Million movie adaptation produced by Wilson Yip (葉偉信) will open on Hong Kong screens on July 29th. Boasting a star studded cast with Fan bing bing (范冰冰), Jet Li (李連杰) , Louis Koo (古天樂) , Tony Leung (梁家輝) and couple duo Huang Xiaoming (黃曉明) and Angelababy. Fan Bing Bing plays the antagonist fox spirit consort Daji (妲己) with Jet Li as the protagonist Jiang Ziya (姜子牙) engaging in a battle of good and evil. Louis Koo will be Shen Gong Bao (申公豹) , Jet Li’s apprentice, Huang Xiaoming as the God Erlang Shen (二郎神) and Tony Leung as King Zhou (紂王) respectively. In charge of special effects behind scenes is director Xu An (許安) and art director William Chang (張叔平) . The film’s musical score will be composed by Hollywood, and will also have 12 participants from different countries contributing in the post production to create this fantasy world that is sure to amaze the audiences. ~~~ cred: mingpao
