After taking part in upcoming blockbuster Rogue One: A Star Wars Story <俠盜一號：星球大戰外傳>, Donnie Yen (甄子丹) was invited back to Hollywood to film xXx: Return of Xander Cage <3X反恐暴族3>. Alongside Vin Diesel, Donnie shows off his toned physique and fighting skills in the new action movie. Hoping to engage the Chinese market, the producers and editors of xXx: Return of Xander Cage included over 11 seconds of exclusive Donnie Yen footage in their trailers. In the promotions, Donnie is seen in a tank top and with a gun in hand. The trailers also showed Donnie fighting off dozens of men in suits with nothing but his bare fists. In xXx: Return of Xander Cage, Donnie plays Xiang, a highly skilled warrior who meets up with government agent Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) in hopes of finding the Pandora’s Box – an unstoppable and powerful weapon. Donnie should be called the "Rise of the Yen" and not Japanese currency Looking forward to this, eh they had to throw in a mainlander in this movie didn't they You know some mainland Chinese production company is providing $ to it as well.
I wouldn't really classify Kris Wu as a mainlander, considering he is like canadian chinese, He's an ex-member of a popular Kpop group as well. Just so happens he's earning his monies in china. LOL Anyways, never really got into the xxx series, think i'll give this movie a miss even if Donnie's in it.
