Ever since the start of the Rio Olympics, the Internet has been on high alert over Chinese swimmer Ning Zetao (宁泽涛) from Henan. With his handsome face and incredible physique, the 23-year-old competitive swimmer has gained a legion of fans from all over the world, becoming a trending topic on Twitter. China has even dubbed Zetao as “the husband of the people.” The 23-year-old has always had popularity in his native country, China. He was named China’s sports personality of the year in 2015, and was featured in many magazine covers, but it really wasn’t until his appearance at the 2016 Olympics when he truly became an international sensation.
