i found these on China.com... i thought these pics r interesting to look at... i think some of these women r geisha

hmmm... i guess the photographer didn't ask them to say "cheese" when he took those pics

I wouldn't necessarily call them "ancient." Maybe antique at most. One tends to think of cave drawings when referring to ancient. The photography and style used seems to be around the 1930's to 1950's. The clarity of the pictures, and non static poses would seem to indicate the that the photographic process required one to remain perfectly still for only a few seconds, and not a few minutes that older techniques required. It's a good look into the past. Thanks for posting them

always interesting to look vack into history and see that some things are still the same today

 

they still dress the same way nowadays but then they kinda look like those scary movie dolls

yes those picture does show some geishas....but they basically portay what ancient japanese women look like
