Got sick of hearing girls discriminating against short guys, since they can't do anything about it. So when I was in college, I chose to only date tall girls to let the short ones get a taste of their own medicine. I dislike having to talk down to a short girl or look up to talk to a tall one; I usually prefer someone who is around my height so I can look her right in the eyes when we talk or kiss. I'm 5'9" and my wife is 5'7" When she wears heels, she's sometimes an inch taller than I am. And you know what, I think that's terrific because whenever someone comments about the height difference, I tell them that I'm comfortable & confident enough about my height to not care, and I think it's cool that I can score a tall woman that taller guys can't get!
i dont mind guys being shorter than me because i am pretty tall...but however as long as theyre sweet and love and true me and unique from others and can make me happy thats all it matters right?
I think that I would like a guy who is taller than me but I don't think that this should be a basis for the relationship, as long as you love each other.
I'm a girl personally, i have this thing too, i cant seem to date younger boys, maybe i personally think they aint serious enough and just mess around. im not exactly 100% serious hoping to work my way all the way to marrige but i would like a long relationship and when it comes to someone younger i have this thing which i can't see them abling to do so with me i dont think they can handle me. not in a bad way or dirty way in general. im quite a dependant person.. They might jus mess around with me as i am again personally quite an emotional person. Being younger i wouldnt mind a few months but no more than a yr. older, i dont know about that but then and again i prefer someone older than me than younger, 10 would hit the record for me lols. As to height i would prefer someone taller, as me being so small about 5"2, hardly many people are that short at my age. Also i would feel more "protected" in away not in a sense of getting in a fight. Its just a feeling. Having someone shorter than me is like a kid age. My boyfriend is 3cm from 6". Sounds silly me and him being next to each other but it is actually okay. No problem occurs, i supppose it depends on how much you and your guy or girl help each other, in away of tiptoing or bending down. As to us we never ha to discuss it as long as it is comfortable, and it may at first look weird to you or him or other but you eventually get used to. And sometimes it looks pretty cute in away. lols. i dont know what i am saying. iv lost the topic. im talking about something else lols. anyway al im saying is... i personally prefer taller guys older guys maybe a few months younger But i love my bf and i did not use any of what i prefer to "pick him"i liked him and love him because he is who he is. jus thot i wud tell you what i think ahahaha. height IS a real big deal cause i know i aint gon date no guy shorter than me and most guys would mind if they girlfriend was taller than he is. Age aint that big of a deal compared to height tho...

To a certain degree it height does matter, lol I wouldn't look at anyone that's shorter that I am, if we were the same height, maybe.. But for me being 5ft 2?? lol he'd have to be the same height or taller.
saw this couple on the train jus now. the gal was MUCH taller than her guy. they looked kinda funny together. so i guess height does really matter after all. ^^
They are together ain;t they? so it don't seem to matter to them? No? Funny thing u said that. I have a white friend (5'7 about) who is dating this Japanese girl ( 6'1 about: yes, she that tall). And when I see them together, the first thing I think of is the height and cultural difference. But the thing is, it doesn;t matter to them, to me either...just got to lose that perception. -rockon
personal preference would be similar height, too much of a different gives inferiority complexes to one partner most of them time.
