I kinda use a translator and copy and paste. Pretty sure that the grammar isn't right, but i think it gets the message across.
i'm using pinyin^ but its not really good as u can only type simplified chinese. whenever i need traditional chinese, i'll have to use some translators. haha
You guys are pro for using translator. It never comes out right for me, and it's especially hard if you're going to be "typing in Cantonese".
I type chinese usin NJStar Communicator, which like most programs uses Pin Yin. I usually type Simplified (Jian Ti Zhi) but sometimes a bit of Tradtional (Fan Ti Zhi)
lol learning how to write chinese is hard enough, but trying to find a meothd to input over 20,000 character on one keyword. This remain me of the ep. of the simpsons where Homer was employ to write fortune cookies in chinese, and lisa was trying to figure the keyboard.
I had twinbridge for a while, and that had both cantonese pingyums and mandarin pinyin/zhuyin. later on we just got pen pads, so I just have to write out the character and find the one that I intended to write. if I can't, then I just type in zhuyin (because it's the default pronunciation alphabet for that program)
i use pinyin.. helps me practice for Mandarin too haha. i also know how to find Chinese words by typing Korean, which my Krn friend taught me... not very good at it, but haha w/e. i wanna learn how to just type it all out like on tv. what's that called?
no.... i meant like how the characters on tv do it. you know how when it shows them typing Chinese on the computer, it shows up really fast? i meant that. = =''
They use 速成, pronounced "chuk sing". That's what most of my HK buddies use, and is in fact the most common method in HK, as far as I know. It's based on radicals, with each key representing a radical. To type out a word, you combine two radicals together. It's pretty hard to master, and you gotta know your characters real well in order to type fast.
oooh i wanna learn anyhow hahaha. seems pretty similar to the Korean way of typing...... but i guess harder considering the Korean keyboard is just like the alphabet.
I use pinyin and CantonPinyin (廣東拼音) to type. There's always words I don't know how to type. Does anyone know any good programs for instruction? Or any other typing software? I currently use NJStar. -rockon
