Prior to watching, yes, I thought HXM was amazingly cast. He had been so good in other series, and he looked really promising in the video clips/music videos. You're using a bad example, since the female lead for the series is stunningly beautiful and the male lead is droolworthy... think Louis Koo
Whoops. What I meant was that the female lead, XLN, is meant to be stunningly beautiful, i.e. walks into a room and all the girls die from envy, and all the guys drown in their drool or something. That's why casting someone like LYF was not entirely a bad decision. XLN is generally expressionless, but rather good-looking, which makes it a bad scenario to give for this type of debate.
Properly because on average, Chinese celebrities do not have enough talent to fill a tumble? Plus, what's wrong about being shallow. Beauty is for appreciation!
These kinds of thread sure to get flame -nono I am Asian and i do agree most of us just enjoy ogling at pretty people...which i'm sad about. But hey.. there's still people like me who goes for inside! I love Michae Hui.. Ricky Hui.. kind of actors. To me they are legends. No one comes close.
I think its the age gap. You can expect most of the users on those boards to be teens. Of some other boards I know where the age pop is around 30 or higher where actors like Lau Ching Wan, Simon Yam, Franis Ng, Anthony Wong, Tony Leung (both of them), etc. are regarded as the best actors.
Since y'all r at it, what is that white guy's name, the guy who plays in a lot of HK dramas and can speak fluent chinese.
Are you kidding me? Asians shallow? Just look around at the type of threads being posted on this board.
