How is karma real? Just because you did something bad in your life and then something bad happens to you how can you connect that with your first wrong.
I guess that's really up to you to decide. People who don't believe in karma see it kind of as a self fullfilling prophecy. Those in the buddhist religion believe that where we will be born (after death) is a result of the past and the accumulation of positive and negative actions, that we've committed. In the end they all weigh out, kind of like yin and yang. I, for one, believe in it. Good deeds reap good karma, bad deeds reap bad karma. Treat others the way you would like to be treated, and you will get the same respect in return, if not from that person then from someone other. Basically the "what goes around, comes around" mentality that Woahitselaine mentioned. It's just one of those quotes I live by.
So does that account those people who've done good all their lives but still crap happens to them. There are people out there in the world who live perfectly good lives, they treat others well, but bad things happen to them when they don't even deserve it. The kindness that they showed others wasn't showned on to them, so how can that ideal of "what goes around comes around" be true. How do you know you've experienced it. So if i stole something and then a week later something of mines get stolen, it's karma? Things like that can happen, I just can't blame it on karma.
ya..if some1 steals somethign from u...steal something bak..then u have karma lol..karma is hard to explain..go research it
Can you give me a good example of one of those people? There is no such thing as someone who lives a "perfectly good life". For religions that believe in reincarnation, bad things happen to nice people as a result of terrible deeds they've committed in their past life. You might just be doing time for something that happened a long time ago. Karma exists not only in the present life, but also in past and future lives as well. Now for those other religions/non-religious people, sometimes bad things happen to good people because they just do. It's a part of life, and sorta like a way of evening things out. Like in order for something extremelly good to happen, something sorta bad has to take place. There's no such thing as a perfectly good life. Bad things happen to all kinds of people and good things happen to all kinds of people. No person is good all the time. Some people may act better longer than some but we all have bad qualities too. We're all human, and we all make mistakes which can affect our karma. And for the person who made that "nice" person suffer, in the end, they will also get the punishment they deserve, or the consequences could pass down to their children. At least that's what I believe. Like I said earlier, people who believe in karma will believe just that. Others like yourself will believe it's pure coincidence. But because neither idea can be proven correct, there's no right or wrong answer. It just boils down to what each individual believes in. It's my personal belief that we all get back what we put in, and bad things do catch up to you in the end.
hah.. karma is bull. its not something to "believe" in. no one knows or cares what youve done. just be careful and watch your back.
the thing is you'll never know. yeah i guess your right. all tihngs in life comes down to just having faith in it since no real answer are usally given.
well its like saying people get alot of money and live wealthy because they did something good..... so how about druglords.......they live wealthy but they harm ppl and well nothing happens to them
