I like asian kung fu generation, Gackt, Miyabi, Boa , and MANY others , liked Kat-tun>.< , oh gods this post is reminding me that there has been a lot of time since I listened to japanese music ( I've been listening a lot of taiwanese, time for a change!!!)

 

well.....I like SMAP....but smap is a group not a band, right?

The Nightmare, T M Revolution, Pyschic lover, Janne Da Arc, MIKA NAKASHIMA.

All of their songs are so cool + rock on!

 

I'm chinese too but most (probably about ~80%) of all my songs are Japanese.

My favourite bands are The GazettE, Dir en grey, GLAY, Gackt, TM Revolution, NIGHTMARE....

My parent are very disappointed that my brother and I listen to a lot of Japanese music and not Chinese & English music. The funny thing is I don't even understand the language lol

 

Nightmare is great, u may of heard them from the opening and ending of death note

if you're looking for japanese bands (not singers, but the ones with actual instruments in their hands, lol) two of my favourite are X-Japan and Glay. But there's also Luna Sea, Dir en Grey, L'arc en ciel...etc

 

Kung Fu Generation is the only Japanese band I currently know, like and have seen live.

 

my favorite is Plastic Tree. ^^ Ryuutarou's got a pretty voice.

 

I agree that Ayumi is good singer.

 

Vidoll, Gazette, Girugämesh, Merry (Merri), Despairs Ray, Siva, Lynch is a pretty great band. There's more, but I can't think right now XD

 

I used to hate dir en grey until Marrow of a bone came out.
