ah finally i knew we had to do something about that dude -lol 'banned on the spot' sounds like a driving fine or something -lol
Hey hey! I'm a newbie on here and I'd also replied on a few threads someone apparently had digged up from the past...but I hadn't seen they were old! (I don't check the dates nor saw a rule about that) And I thought they were more interesting than the current ones. (how many 'What's your dream guy/girl' or 'What language do you speak' topic variations do we actually need?) As a former mod -on a different board obviously- myself I don't care for the post accounts, if I had a say in it I would disable it to avoid spamming. Now I got the mods attentions, can't you guys make a sort of 'What is PA-genesis?' sticky 'coz I had no idea what it was, whether this forum belongs to a certain Asian/technical site or not? What the background idea is of this site other than Asian discussions and downloads sharing, that sort of thing. And making a few board rules beforehand would be useful so newbies should be warned not to dig the old threads up? (Lock the old ones?) If you make the official board rules clearly (other than the non -abusive etc. conditions) and newbies still violating this you are authorized to give them 1 warning and after that you can beat them up, put them on the Eternal Hall of Shame and ban them. -innocent2
Actually 3 non-Asian boards, two of them music related, one students. Gave up all three last year when I went traveling for longer periods and had other things to do. Also was fed up with accusations made by newbies I was being too strict on one of these boards when I locked threads up and sending a pm with explanation/warning. To maintain a tidy view of the board and keep the flow of discussions, users weren't allowed to open a new thread before they checked whether there was already one or not. Ha, we encouraged to kick up old threads UNLESS the topic is outdated due it's specific character, like 'Oscars 2006' and 'Liverpool gig 23 January 2005'. Otherwise newbies are gonna start duplicated topics and after the number x thread about the same, old boarders will get fed up with it and complain to the same mods. And people tend to reply with less serious answers, leaving no room for proper discussion, just board spamming. And offtopics chats weren't allowed...post counts can be reduced as a countermeasure (there was a whole OFFTOPIC thread for that, think it's similar to the Bloop thing on here.) And I was the notorious spelling nazi...can't stand it when people make spelling mistakes in the topic title and not correcting them with the EDIT button. -innocent
Damn right. Is good you done that. I hate the newbie or whoever did that. Some thread is like has been made ages ago & out of date. They still dig them up. So weird...
we got a more easy going vibe here at pa...been like that since they started and things have worked well so far...the offtopic section and the mods keep things clean and relaxed....no banning for spelling errors!!!!..haha...
typos...haa...i would be the first one being banned...again that is..as i believe i was the first to be banned here on pa back in da hay day...
lol i was surprised that kitty didn't attack the guy who put him in the washing machine... that kitty relli does know how to act -lol Never knew you was banned... i wonder who's still around.... lol Anhyway i just got bored so i decided to use the multi quote thing... so useful
