hmmm i can speak cantonese, english, cieu chow (not sure of the spelling), and fukien (or taiwanese).
I can speak English, Cantonese, and Ebonics fluently. But most importantly I speak the international language of basketball -worship .
is fukien the same thing as taiwanese? i dunno, i just keep hearing some people tlak about kukien and then some people talk about taiwanese and never crossed paths that they could be the same thing
some places dont have middle school therefore it's like 6 years of elemetry and 6 years of high school or like in Hong Kong you can take Form 1 through Form 4 (there version of high school) and Form 5 & 6 are optional (it is like the first two years of college) and I agree, Toisan is not worth learning I know it, and it doesn't come in handy in my life, except to talk to my family because anyone now a days who knows Toisan will most likely also know cantonese
im CBC, grew up speaking cantonese recently learned some mandarin i would like to be able to speak korean/japanese too

fukien and taiwanese are basically similar.... my cousin married a taiwanese... my mom side of the family is fukien and can understand them taiwanese perfectly... i speak mandarin, canto, hakka, hokkien, english, malay, japanese
