I seriously think that there should be an option for .gif avatars. I mean, since spam isn't encouraged, I'd imagine that it'd take a majority of members a long time before reaching VIP status. Besides, there are only about 4-5 VIPs at the moment and only one of them is using a .gif image. I think gifs will help liven up the forum
u should have no trouble seeing hidden threads as u can reply and and post here and we've turned off activation for the time being.

Actually, gif avatars were available to all members for a certain period of time. After the forum's advanced update some time around June(?), however, the mods made a haunting, absolutely devastating (to me at least) decision to make it a privilege for VIP members only.
