The Veyron is overrated. Why do u even bother posting about this car? No one can afford it (people who go on pOPular Azn) lol. THis car is horrible and over priced. Its not practical. Even if you can afford it. Use some common sense. This topic in the tech and automobile is a waste of storage space on PA's servers: N. FActors about this car: 1.$$$$ overpriced 2.$$$$$ Insurance and etc. (Cost to own) 3.Security (This car will be very hot to carjackers since Bugatti only produces 50 a year) 4.Its pwned by VW (who also owns VW, Audi, Lambo, and Bentley, basically the veyron is a combination of all those brands into a heavy body) 5. Depreciation is like 100% Imagine you go park it at a fancy hotel (this would be the only place u can go and have it safely parked) and then the valet (a newbie) takes it and accidently puts a scratch on it say goodbye to value of your veyron. G Factors: 1. The physics of the car. (besides the overheating and weight, its a pretty piece of machine) 2. The things it can achieve 3. Basically it has extraordinary performance. 1.horrible over priced?!! this is a super super car, its not gonna cost the same as a civic.... it has a top speed over that of an F1 car and can smoke about nearly everyother super out there 2.Insurance aint gonna matter since those who can afford it are gonna be super rich anyway 3. at the price of this thing, it will be locked up in a miniture castle, even if stolen its prob got gps tracker, etc. And it aint gonna be easier selling this on black market, as like you said theres only 50 a year, so its gonna be hard to clone this car 4. This car was developed by VW but does in no way mean its just all those cars put together in a big lump -noclue, pretty much the whole car was developed from scratch because of the huge engineering problems (no one has ever attempted to build a production car so powerful) 5. heavy body? even if it has, it can still outpace the supercars out there 6. people who own this car aint livin in the ghetto, the places they go will all have valet, car parks etc. Its a status car, not a run around for chores. I've been watching top gear when clarkson was the only host. 1.Ya its the fastest PRODUCTION car in the world (You clearly have never seen the working prototypes and concept cars that can make the veyron look like a oversized piece of metal). 2. DUDe, I'm beginning to wonder if you drive or own a car??? The cost of owning is greater than the price of the car. I think the cost is a big amount for those who can afford to buy the car. 3. BLACKMARKET, you even said it urself, to my understanding a blackmarket is trades exchanged privately and illegally, its easy to sell the car in the blackmarket. No one would know about the deals. Now im beginning to question ur intellect. 4. Ugh no the car was not developed from scratch. THe engine is made of two audi v8s and four turbo chargers. and the headlights are taken from audi/lambo. 5.Dude it needs the weight in order to keep the car balanced (go back to school and take physics). To my understanding, an object with a heavier mass requires more energy to accelerate. Hypothetically speaking, if I took a supercar that weighed less but slower (MAX 200MPH) than the veyron to complete a 2000 mile race against it, my car would win (reach there first and the shortest time) and the veyron would be still sitting at the gas station. 6. "A status car", hear yourself speak. So this car is not for driving but for showing????? Why dont i just construct a life size plastic model of the veyron or build a showcase with a non functioning model in it and say that "I'm rich, look at me!!!!!" Last time i checked a car is for driving, racing, and other practical uses. WTF? expertly repaired, hmmm..... lets lookup bugatti body repair shop in the phone book or Google? Nothing. One would have send the car back to Vw and tell them to fix it or ask them to send a repairman from Germany to your house which takes $$$ and time, lots of it. You really need to get out of London and the Uk more often and see the world I can buy a '97 civic for $2k dollars (NOt GDP) and tune it for $30k and blow the doors off a bugatti and it will still be street legal and a lot quicker than the Bugatti Hm.... a car that cost $32K that can beat $1 million dollar car????
