Which Mando-Canto singers is most over-rated??

Sammi Cheng? Jay Chou's definetly overrated though as a Mandarin singer.

i always thought jay chow mumbles too much... and how bout juno mak.... he sucks, and for females that cant sing.....chu yan really cant sing great to look at but cant sing

 

I absolutely laugh at the person who said Edison is a professional singer. ROFL

I have to say all TVB Music singers-they sing really bad. Just because the singers can act, it doesn't mean they can sing. People in this category would include Bernice Liu and a whole lot of people that are simply overrated and are highly promoted therefore they >.< .

Then I would have to say Alex Fong, then Ron Ng, then all of the other singers that lip sing, mumble, and are short of breath when they perform live.

Edison should not sing PERIOD! He can't rap either. He should just tell Jin to be his ghost writer.

 

jay chou has been overrated for ages ...

now, his music's pretty good, but his early albums make me wonder wth was everyone so crazy about >_>

 

def jay chou and twins too. and someone said sammi cheng which i def disagree with. sammi is one of the best female singers left in the industry today.

TVB actors/actresses shouldn't sing.

OK sing the opening or closing theme of a TVB drama but don't release an album because it just doesn't work. Some of the themes are ok but that's about it.

I have both Twins and S.H.E songs. -whistle I think S.H.E songs are too "child-like", well some of them are OK but others are "too-samey". But that goes with both girl bands, the only Twins song worth mentioning are these (in my opinion- unsure): 你不是好情人, 我很想愛他.

But there's quite a fair few overrated but it doesn't stop me from picking the fair few which are worth listening to. And Jay Chou's stuff is pretty good stuff, obviously not all but a lot of it is worthy. I don't have a single song by Edison and I'm not too keen on CoCo Lee's music.

Twins definitely. They can't sing at all. They prob only get awards because they are pretty

 

Elva Hsiao? By no means is she overrated, especially when she returned from a few year hiatus. Also, the girl can sing. If you listen to some of her older songs, mainly her ballads, the girl has vocal power and a nice voice to go along with it.

 

over-rated

i would say that jay chou is over rated...his music is very good but his singing isn't even singing to me, more like mumbling and slurring words. If his words were more pronounced and understandable, then i would say he was top notch -rockon
