I used to love the Giants, but I don't watch NBL or hear anything about it. Seasons not on or something...
I still think the USA basketball team is better than any team in the world. They can jump. Thats all u need in basketball. We also have handlers. seriously, the USA have to tell the leaders in the NBA to step it up and win the gold. i'm sick and tired of see them losing all the time.
If jumping is everything is basketball, then there would be no need for 5 different positions at all, maybe everybody should just jump around like morons for the ball. That would probably 100000x more entertaining.
n00b there is more to bball, then just jumping and handling no doubt USA is good but, USA bball team is not best in the world.... proven at fiba last yr do u even know who the players inn the USA bball team are? not all of the team are from the NBA, and they certainly arnt the "leaders in the NBA" .. well except for a few..
australian bball doesn't appeal to me .. it doesnt seem exciting and its not on "normal" tv its only on foxtel sports? arrgghh
The only thing i know abt Australian basketball is ANDREW BOGUT who plays for the Bucks. Oh ya, there's also a kiwi called Steve Marks if im not mistaken playing for the Suns
Well guys basketball was not on free to air tv for a long time as it was broadcast on foxtel....but channel nine have bought the rights for it and it is shown on TV (not live) during the weekends in the afternoon. I kept in touch with the final series against melbourne tigers and the brisbane bullets. Brisbane won the series 3-1. it was a second NBL title they have won and their last one was 20years ago. I have to agree that the NBA is one of the best comps going around but its not just about jumping, but team work. I myself love basketball and any game will interest me but you only think the NBA is the best because that is all you see. If you look at the other games around the world such as in Europe you will see that there are a lot of American players heading there. The game play is totally different. But for those people replying in this post you are very single minded in thinking only the NBA comp is the best.
