What is everyone doing for Chinese New Year I'm going home on the eve eat eat LOTS of food, and since home is far away, and i normally dont get to see my friends since i've moved I will spend the day of New Years visiting friends, then eat LOTS more food with my family that night again before i go home and prepare for the next day of work, since it's not a public holiday in the US I have another questions do you guys spending Chinese New Years with your immediate family or with your extended family too? ~listening to Chinese New Year Music~-rockon
The usual. Visit this aunt, that aunt, this uncle, that friend, dinner with all relatives, first at their house, then at ours, then eat out at some restaurant. And pray at a temple for another prosperous year of course.
family as in brothers and sisters and parents or family as in aunts and uncles and grandparents and family friends
erm it used to be the entire family with aunties and uncles at my grans place but they nonw in HK so we celebrate it indiviually as in with just immediate family but still get red packets
uhm. i suppose i'll be celebrating new year by myself. studying away from home has its pleasant traits ... however, it does have its bad traits, and this is one of them. happy chinese new years in advance!!
Unfortunately, my family (both immediate AND extended) do not live in the same city as I do, so I always end up sharing a meal with a few close pseudo-orphaned friends.
spend time with the family and girlfriend. its not as exciting as it was when i was a little kid. always use to look foward to the red envelop.
dinner with the family, them going to the temple i think I think my mates want to go drinking as well, the pub is like next to my place so yay for walking home drunk for me. They insist on spending all the red pocket money on booze but i'm like hmm...don't know about that
immediate family and extended family FRIENDS`` so i get lots and lots of cash..which is always good`` love` mon
get to gether with family and give out red pockets!!!!!! then probily chill around and ofcourse the whole school night thing and people leaving eearly. u know the gist.
