How the hell can you check the exact temperature of it?

    Where is that display thingy?

u can check in when go to your BIOS. I use a programme to check the temperature. but 66°c isnt normal '-_-

Did you mount the CPU and fan correctly? 35C sounds about right; but 66C sounds kinda high. you might want to re-check the mounting before you toast the whole CPU!

yeh 66 is kinda high, check:
    -fans are running
    -not overclockin r u?
-u werent running cpu intensive programs prior to the temp check
-sure its not a hot day?:p
-any blockages on the fans from cables etc

if you keep on getting consistantly high temps, if you know what ur doing!, check the thermal paste is applied properly on the HSF

maybe use another monitoring program instead of pc probe?

  6. tisken, can you tell me the name of that software? and is it a freeware? thanks

hm... i guess my room was too hot yesterday... but now it has still 52°c o.o

i'm using that programme "PC ProbeII". Got it when i bought my mainboard...

  9. i got ASUS prob..
but you should worry if its around 75 C.. then its dangerous.. try to turn off pc and let it cool down.. also check your fan if theres alot of dust...

^ if it gets too hot for it to be dangerous to the cpu, the thing will crash so it doesnt burn up :)

I use PC Probe II too and it seems reliable, but some people prefer to use more than one program to be sure

Time to switch to oil cooling :D

^ then you can cook and surf the net at the same time :D-chef

or tisken, go buy yourself a nice canister of liquid nitrogen, that will solve your high temp problems ;)

well i think my room was too hot yesterday.... my pc was next to the heater... lol XD
now it has only about 45-53°c ... i think its ok, isnt it?

  14. yoo... dont leave it beside a heater.. thats one of the worst things you can do...

heres what you do. put it somewhere cooler, and/or disassemble your pc, and dust ever part. dust is one of the main contributing factor to over heating pc. also, i have a laptop with 2 fans, but when it gets too hot sometimes, i put it vertical, and point an external fan into one of the holes to help with the cooling. it works.

  15. during the summer my cpu temp hangs around 52-56 c kinda worries me however i always leave the case off just incase anything happens i can see it and better cooling.
