Wednesday Feburary 14, 2007 Hong Kong Sammi and Miriam shatter rumours! Sammi made her first appearance in Vancouver in a long time on Monday night at CCTV's <The Same Song> concert, along with other performing guests Miriam Yeung, Eric Tsang and Angela Zhang, amongst others. Earlier reports had suggested that Sammi and Miriam were at war with each other, but from what was observed backstage, it did not seem like the 2 of them had any problems with each other. Backstage, the 2 of them hugged each other and seemed to be very chatty. When they were asked for a picture of the 2 of them together, Sammi immediately puckered up to Miriam, and Miriam obliged her very willingly. They posed as though they were kissing each other, and looked hilarious. After the picture was taken, Sammi asked the reporter to let her have a look at the picture, and Miriam joined in the choosing process. They decided that they were not happy with the shot, so they re-posed for another photo, and their laughter permeated the entire backstage. Sammi also specially requested that she take a picture with Tsai Chin, because she admires Tsai Chin's performances, and at that time, Liza Wang came backstage, and so the 3 of them took a photo together. credits: sammicheng.popz.tv, asianfanatics.
the reporters really need to stop making up rumors about these two cuz they're friends in real life. blah. canadian fans who can attend this concert are so lucky, sammi and miriam! that's an awesome pairing
the war rumors started when mariam joined sammi's music company....and also for many years they been compared to each other because their style is much alike and their appearance too.. the second pic scares me...they look so much alike! but they will make a nice combo...i want to see duets between the two in the near future
I'm glad Sammi is well now. Love her songs and movies. And I didn't know there was a war, although I hate Miriam for trying to imitate Sammi. And really ... if it wasn't the report, I wouldn't have guessed that, that was Sammi. Couldn't recognize her at all. And as for the war, I think it's just show biz. The show must go on for the public! even at backstage. like Regis and that lady host in the morning show. like the 2 in Wheel of Fortune. then again, the wars might just be rumors ... form of promotion?
even though sammi and miriam posed for a picture together....i doubt the reporters will let the issue of "big sister in the company" goes off
i don't think Miriam is imitating Sammi at all! Both of them have different styles. You might say their movie roles are similar but that's how the movie scripts and directors require them to perform. Their style in music are totally different! Many of my friends who saw the photo also couldn't recognise Sammi at all!
