i've switched from bitcomet to utorrent too because of the resources and utorrent is standalone, no need to install
Personally I use Azureus. But a lot of the features that made the client stand out in the beginning have been implemented by other clients such as uTorrent. However I have a sweet spot for OSS so I'll stick with my tried and true...
i wonder if utorrent 1.6.1 is worth upgrading to?? since they were sold, ive had doubts bout the updates they make
I like to use azureus, the first version of bitcomet reminded me too much of kazaa to wanna use it >_<
I use azureus because you can configure a lot of stuff (including how much of a torrent you want to dl, so you don't have to dl a 4-gig group of files for just one thing..) . . . but it's true that it eats up a lot of resources.
utorrent for its light resource usage azuerus was good till it started consuming 30% of my cpu and 10% of my memory resources.... but my HDD's have died faster since i've started using torrents cuz of the constant writing that they are doing to the drive....
