Anyone with experience ? I saw there are a lot of different brands, KONI, BILSTEIN, PI, JAMEX, V-MAXX etc. etc.

It's for a 1999 Peugeot 206 in the Netherlands. Please give me any recommendations.
And how much should I pay for installing the kit ? :D

Peugeot is a european car. They ARE imports to the NA market. The 206 is a slick ride. If you want performance, I'd go with bilsteins. They usually aren't made to go super low though. Koni's a solid choice if you want a decent balance.

yeh Koni and Bilsteins are well known. You'll prob want to see a tuning garage and get the suspensions properly set up

u should research a bit so u know wat u want
keeping in mind the price differences (which are alot)

depening how low u want to go, springs only go down a certain height
which means u may need to consider coilovers, which def cost even more
advantage of most coilovers is that they are adjustable =)

and obviously, one u lower the car, u need to do the shocks too, else u'll just wear our ur stock shocks in no time

the major brands usually don't have too much differenece, its more of preferenec and feeling, as they'd feel different on each car
if u get the chance, u should see wat they feel like if friends have them

as u know, lower u go, the more bumps u feel on the road =P

Peugeot 206 is a girlie car or in dutch i would say "boodschappenwagentje". My sister got one as well, she have TEiN superstreet suspension kit under her 206 RC. Bought & mounted it at DBM engineering in Maarsen. The kit was around 1250 euro's. TEiN is usually fitted on japanese sportcars but nowadays they make sets for other brands aswell. Try this link for more info (dutch) DBM TEiN or visit the TEiN site http://www.tein.co.jp/e/index.html

suspension wise...the koni yellows (height adjustable ones) give a really nice ride...its not too stiff and its not too comfort...of course that can be tuned to each person's liking...and paired with a nice set of springs it can make a nice difference in your ride

h&R are known to be a little stiffer when it comes to ride quality but they are well known in the european circuit since they are used by a lot of euro brands: bmw, porsche and mbz

if you got some extra money take a look at the bilstein brands they are by far the most expensive setup among the companies that you have listed but their struts and springs are of the highest quality and have the most adjustabilities.

Tein is a decent brand, they are up and coming into the euro market....like nijntje pluis was sayin about how they used to be a japan only suspension tuner. Their setup is decent and the ride isn't too harsh from what i've heard but then again is personal preference

two other companies that u want to check out is eibach and neuspeed...two very good companies for suspension

coilovers are easy setup as they are struts and springs in one combo but if somethin goes wrong you gotta buy a whole new coil to replace...vs a strut/spring upgrade is a piecemeal setup so you can replace one or the other should either of them go bad

find a buddy that has a setup and drive it..see if you like it and maybe go with that brand that he is usin....and once u get the setup its goin to be really hard to go back since most shops that you buy from won't let you return them once u set them up and drive them

lastly what are u trying to improve on your car? the ride quality, the handling or just goin after that "SLAMMED" effect?

hit me up via pm if u got more questions

  16. nijntje pluis you know your stuff dont you lol

  17. nyckeion

    nyckeion ....Boo....

hmmm Tien is a pretty good sport suspension but only if you have very little bumps or you will be hitting your passengers heads
