I drink a lot of milk to balance out the caffeine. I don't see what's so wrong with it being an acid. We have natural acids in our stomach that are a billion times stronger than it.
lol i just drink what's around man... most of the time it's always water but when there's something else instead of water i'll drink it if it's nice.
water...water....and more water. I could drink all the pop I want made by Coco Cola and I still don't drink any of it! =)
have you ever heard an older chinese person try to cook your chinese herbal soup for you using coke when you are sick stupid . . . but the reason why is because it use to be powerful medicine when you had the flu when there still was cocaine in it many over the counter cold medicines, the strongest stuff will often have codene/cocaine in it i had family boil ginger in coke and make me drink it when i was SUPER sick i mean i understand the ginger for the coughing part but um, i dont think they ever learned the science behind the whole drinking coke thing, and that now it's not effective since cocaine is no longer a ingrediant
your right, your stomach acid IS much stronger but what is a heart burn? many people have trouble drinking coffee because the acid is too strong why? the problem is not with digestion, but when it's going down your esophagus (sorry i doubt i spelt that correctly) not everyone's esophagus is lined well enough to handle it then
Yunshi you can post more than 1 line in one single reply you know... And I am just totally being mean here. I am supposed to be mean, I am KNOWN to be mean, rant on! Anyways. In fact (which could still totally be a myth), I heard that if the coke is boiled, its chemical composition changes (don't ask me WHAT exactly, I have no clue :3) and the sugar no longer lead to more coughing (which is what the chinese people believe right? sweet stuff makes your cough worse) But I personally believe that the caffeine in coke does do some trick in constricting your blood vessel (in short run) which increases blood pressure and speeds up circulation (most likely to be beneficial) Of course, it can totally be that kids won't drink ginger-boiled water, so they put coke instead. Your spelling is perfect, worry not. Heartburn, aka pyrosis, is when the acid in the stomach (it's mainly hydrocholoric acid plus some Potassium Chloride and Sodium Chloride aka salt, if you are interested to know) after churning and churning in the stomach during digestion, accidentally spill out of the top of the stomach through the cardiac sphincter (called reflux) and irritates the lower end of the esophagus. Some people are more susceptible to heartburn because either 1) their stomach churning is more violent, leading to more possible spilling or reflux, or 2) their cardiac sphincter, which separates esophagus and stomach, does not contract properly, thus allowing the esophagus to be in easy reach of reflux. I am not sure about the lining though, since most people's lining are similar in thickness, but it's possible that some people's esophagus has superior capability to produce protective mucuous so that they won't have heartburn every time their reflux hit the esophagus. Back to Coke vs. Water. It's just... too much sugar and caffeine can't be good for you, plus, caffeine, being a diuretic, dehydrates you further. So unless you really need a caffeine AND sugar boost hard and fast, coke doesn't do you a whole lot of good in the long run.
i like Coke with lemon~ but mainly its H2o for me... coz H2o is goooooooood... even the waterboy Bobby Boucher agrees
i drink water most of the time....but i have coke every now an again.... but not always coke, sometime lemonade....^^
T Steak gone after 2 days in a bowl of coke cannot be right. I say drink moderately, too much of anything is bad or lessens the value of it.
