I just went to a restaurant for lunch this afternoon and found a fly in my soup! It was fuzzy, so I didn't want to eat from the same bowl. I felt iffy about telling the waitress about it, because I heard stories that chefs @ restaurants may spit into your food if you returned it... but it was so gross, so we decided to call over the waitress and had her bring us another. Would you have complained about the unsatisfactory dish, or would you rather forget about the dish altogether?
I doubt you'd so easily be able to see the slobber. Are you serious??? That is just downright disgusting! I sure hope you don't eat there regularly. I hope you weren't being serious. I personally find both to be equally nauseating and unhygienic. No, I'm pretty sure I said "sweet and sour" soup. Unless the fly was supposed to add to either element -boat lol it's a chinese resaurant near my work place. Unfortunately, I cannot disclose the name since I am unable to read in chinese, but if you ever happen to be in Milpitas, make sure you avoid the restaurant on Victoria!
I'd just leave without paying. I wouldn't want to eat at a place that gave me flies unless I ordered some.
well, perhaps. but you can always try. i cant believe you took that seriously.. markham is a rich chinese people TOWN... you dont get bugs here.. cuz you got huge rich houses... the only bug that ever comes once in a while to my TOWN is kdotc. hes the type of bug that goes to farms in up north markham, and eats cow shit for lunch LOL jsk
I totally feel for you. I went to a quite renowned Chinese restaurant in Markham and found a catepillar-type thing WITHIN the stock of a Yu Choi (more like half since I already swallowed half of it) -- when I complainted to the staff they replied that "it shows that our veggie doesn't have pesticides (which is traumatising one way or another). In the end, after they refuse to take back the dish or do anything about it, I finished my dinner there and left 1 cent for tips, plus that half of the crawlie. And ever since, I avoid that particular restaurant like a plague.
Hmm, dunno how many bugs I've eaten without knowing, but I recall once eating in a Chinese restaurant in Paris (not my idea btw, I was still a kid) and saw a ladybug in my food. My dad forbid me to say anything about it, afraid the cook will spit in the dishes that has to come yet, so I refused to eat anything at all and demanded to eat some crossaints or something like that when we left.
Wait, you've been to Milpitas? Not according to the poster below: What?? What a ridiculous response! I can't believe they had the nerve to say that to a customer, when it's quite obvious who was at fault. You actually handled that pretty well. I would have just left the restaurant without paying them at all. Totally unbelievable. It really makes me wonder why places like these haven't already gone out of business. It isn't just the Chinese restaurants either. I once ate at this Vietnamese restaurant a few years ago where a customer found a roach in his rice bowl. Needless to say, I've never set foot in that restaurant again.
uhhh.... please tell me the name of that restaurant... that way, i can avoid it, and suggest that restaurant to people i hate =)
my mother works in a restaurant.. and if we eat togheter and i see a hair in my food.. my mother says its normal :|
normal to see hair? what kind of hair? haha ... either way, aren't they suppose to wear something to cover up their hair and to prevent the hair from falling into the food?
