I'd rather be a jerk than a nice guy, yes. But I'm really an alpha male No, because everyone would choose in-between out of instinct. The OP wanted to compare 2 extremes, and my earlier point was that most GIRLS consider "nice guys" the opposite of jerks.

Well, being oneself does not mean the particular hypothetical person is not a nice guy (or for the record, jerk). But I guess you are right in "not pretending to be something else" part.
Exactly! But a "jerk" sounds so negative while a "nice guy" does not. So I was just getting the terminology correct, ha. -detect That's why I mentioned the words Jerk and Wuss as they are more so the 2 extremes. I think these "nice guys" don't see themselves as wusses, but really do view "jerks" as one for some reason... ... ...
I would say straight forward thinking, because most of you wouldn't even talk to an ugly person to find out if he/ she is good/ bad person. If you see a cute girl or guy, you would want to talk to them and try to get to know them and their personality. If that doesn't apply to you you can disagree with me all you want.
^ But then, like nice vs. jerk, the world exist between the 2 choices, most people we meet would be neither HOT nor UGLY, they would be average. Even though I would not say I DON'T avoid ugly person, to a certain extent it's equally difficult to spot a UGLY person and a HOT/CUTE person. So I'll just stick with average but interesting I don't particularly aim to talk to hot/cute persons, nor do I try hard to avoid ugly persons.
Hmmm... I think now I'm looking for a guy thats like in the middle... My ex was really nice and sweet..He was too good... Which is bad... coz to be honest I think I was acting like a spoiled brat after a while (hate to admit it though)... after a while it gave me the feeling that there was no balance in our relationship... like i was the boss or something... So i guess now I just want a guy who is not a jerk and not too nice... haha... u guys know what i mean?
