haha. We went to my uncle's restaurent and my friends saw some catapillar type worm on the raw veggies that he gave out. My friend freaked and we got a replacement. I think he just killed the bug and bought back out so I didn't eat it.
aww shit... adrians got the hook ups... too bad you're not doing a good job of advertising your uncles place... -lol ahh a lil veggie bug never hurt no one... thas how you know its fresh...
Apparently it's a pretty famous joint for the Chinese families. And no, I was soft back then. I would now pay for the bill, take a photo of the crawlie, and report to the food bureau. Serious. And no, Markham is NOT better than Chinatown, if you know anyone working at restaurants, they can tell you that all restaurant is the same: dirty.
to a certain extent i think its true,, but if you cant hide it well.. tats bad.. means its too dirty to be ignored
pick up the dish, walk into the kitchen, and slam it into the chef's face- "you eat that shit you motherf*cker", spit on him, then run away. lol, jk
but what if it's not the chef's fault...like what if the fly just like..fell in the soup? what then? =T
then you really look like an ass... but since you were so heated.. there's no turning back... so you kill the business for them while they were just trying to make a decent living working in a restaurant..
i would complain about it especially if there are disgusting stuffs in it. i was at yum cha today and there were gecko's poo in one of the dish. eeek...that is so disgusting.
I am more surprised that you've found it than the fact that it's there... I thought they would be really tiny ^^b
Oh right, this happened about 2 weeks ago when I went dimsumming with my sis because we had to wait before her watch got repaired, so we ordered Cha Sieuw Chong and Ha Chong. I found a hair in the Char Sieuw Chong and my little sis forbid me to eat it which resulted in a short chopstick fight over that bit of food. I was hungry so I wasn't picky this time +it was an expensive restaurant but it was the closest to the jewellery shop, so I didn't feel like wasting food because of a hair.
We were eating dinner at a Richmond Hill restaurant and the same thing happened, also inside some veggies. The waitress took it back though and my mom didn't pay for her meal. But I didn't touch my vegetables -sick2 My mom also found a band-aid in her congee once. She has the worst luck with restaurants xD
OMG Band-aid... your mom did return the congee right? And never go back to that store again? Strangely enough, I often encounter "special finds" in dishes from expensive restaurant, but never in food court food. Ironic eh?
Yes encountered hair in food at times. But don't wanna say anything for fear of chef doing something bad to food.
eeew band-aid is pretty disgusting... once i found this piece of 2 inch long wire in my pasta.... yah i told the waiter and i got my meal for free... i guess it depends on the restaurant.
