Therefore, there is not much point getting an account at their site... **I guess they changed their way of registering... They're in the point deciding when to open and close...

I have a demonoid account and some invitation passes (3 i think) they open registration once a month for a few days also yeh you can find all torrents elsewhere but demonoid use private trackers and theres an upload ratio all members must keep so basically there are usually more seeds than leechers, so you get great speeds and torrents stay alive for longer

you can go to other site, but i dont want to spend a week downloading just to get a 800MB movie. if you know what i mean.
mininova is decent you'll find a lot of the up to date files and they have a few hundred seeds and thousands of leechers...but of course private trackers have a longer retention time and you can find older stuff with seeds over public trackers which have a really quick turnover time
its not they open randomly for certain periods of the month, usually once a month but for May they opened registration for 2 days
