..... might seem like fun n games to u guys but 33 ppl lost there life and anothe 23 are in intensive care or got shot......show a little respect for the people that passed....especially the ppl who gave thier life to save others.....life the teacher who die holding the door shut so that his twenty something students could jump out the window to save thier lives......
There should be stricter gun laws in the US. Its just too easy to get guns and amos - WALMART sells them behind a glass counter??!!!!! WTF! As long as u r over 18, u can get a weapon - no wonder why everyone is on a killing spree. Compare America's gun crime rate to the rest of world...its higher...<i wonder why!!!!!!> My condolences goes to those family and friends of the victims...
Here is a link to two of the plays he wrote, they are short, and they are awful, but disturbing, seems like he was molested at one point. http://news.aol.com/virginia-tech-shootings/cho-seung-hui/_a/richard-mcbeef-cover-page/20070417134109990001 Have these been posted?
I absolutely think the "creative writing" and "violent video game" not a justified reason to assume that he WILL be a madman. Afterall, if violent and disturbing creative writing indicate the mental condition of the author, I guess we should lock up quite a few publishing authors. And video game? How can you explain the rest of the violent game-playing population who doesn't go around gunning people down?
I agree with you guys. But in my opinion, I do kinda feel sorry for the shooter because he wanted help but got ignored.
lol my brother's high school got locked down today cuz someone wrote a threatening note on a bathroom door. idiots...
I think part of the blame is to the dormitry counsellor, I remember reading somewhere that some "friends" of his reported him to be counselled. Look how it ends up.
You can't blame video games, for his actions, nor can you say that his writings showed that he was a mad man. But now that we know that he was unstable, we can read those plays and say 'wow...'
he has mental illness and the judge didn't not even write it in his file..it woulda rejected the guns being sold to him
There appears to have been previous incidents and other altercations. Now the blame starts. We have the faculty councilors, previous incidents ignored, campus security etc. Kind of like it was all leading up to this eventually as it seems the signs were all around. But then, if actions were taken previously, how would they have been interpreted.
anyone hav any idea why he did this? i heard that he hates the wealthy and it has something to do with his gf... this really sux n ppl are judging koreans now, not just koreans but asians
^ Well, it's the 20/20 hindsight yet again. "OMG we totally saw it coming" -- then why didn't they do something in the first place if it's OH-SO-APPARENT.
looking at the video, I see that something happened to him that made him like that. With guys, it is always girls and money, I think. Here's my take, He is quite angry and possibly because people (girls) called the cops on him (i,e, stalker). So tke cause of the incident are the women on top of that, they told him he has mental illness (which might not really be true in his mind). However, it BECAME true and pushed him over the edge when nothing went right. He had no choice because every one knew that he is a stalker and insane... He could have left the university but HE DECIDED not to, and fight for his name with the only method he knew...killing then sucide leaving a "legacy" of shame to asians, koreans and the color people...
what are u talking about? u caught me on a bad day dude. where in that comment that i made seemed like i was being an ass. i know what happened and i know how horrible of a tragedy it was. when i commented on it i was talking about the killer being sick for sending in all those vids. figure out what ppl are trying to say first b4 u assume your righteouness. don't ever put me in the same boat of thought as benjwang.
link If you watch the video, they interview the local Korean community, all the girls are totally Americanized, while the boys interviewed are "FOBs", once again the Asian male gets shafted by the media.
