Whats with all the new rage on these razrs, they're only known to be inexpensive and compact, thats about it; an ordinary phone. Its especially popular here in Brooklyn, New York. My friend has a Razr and my Sony Ericcson W810i overkills it.
V3 is considered old school already. Now the new rage is Krazr or Rizr. Rizr particular is promising in the look and functions especially Z8.
The Rizr looks especially hot, but the V3 is still popular and it was #12 inPC World's Top 50 Greatest Gadgets in the Last 50 years. I feel it does not deserve that position.
The V3 WAS quite big a while back wasn't it? Motorola totally tapped into a new market section with the sleek design (so THIN, for a while no other company even bother TRY to top that). It's good design look wise, just that it's not powerful enough IMO. But heck, it's a cell phone!
im sure no1 still buys the v3 these days theres like so many other better choices (tho im sure they cost more...) but still, better gadgets available now!
I gave mine to my son! He thinks its the best!! I did move on from the V3 to a KRZR. Still have it - but now I'm using a Nokia 8800 Sirocco and a Nokia N95
I thought it was nice when it first saw the ads, its thin, but still wide and long. Most people have them now because its the main phone offered with new contracts. I like my LG VX8600 better, except that the antenna is too weak.
^ Not a huge LG or Samsung fan... got quite a bit of QC problems. My last LG phone broke down twice in the first three months =_=b Reception issues.
Im not a huge moto fan ever since the problems i had with them. I used to have a v3 but it would die on me without warning...It died on me when i needed it most as well...sigh. Got me really annoyed -.- went back to using my old nokia flippy. Just anticipating the iphone lol.
hehe/ When I went to Asia , my buddies laughed at me cuz I had a motorola. they were right though. it broke when i got back and when I try to get it fixed the fuker in the repair shop was a dick. so I will NEVER buy anything Motorola again/ PS. what is hot in asia is samsung with games!!!
a lot of my friends have it too...looks very fragile, not my type =P my personal fav - Toshiba 911T but dammit for use in Japan only zzz
yes, they are very much overrated. I dont see the point in having a so called 'slim phone' when other phones are quite similar to it.
@jl101: a year or two ago, the RAZR is the ONLY slim phone on the market, so it was reasonable for it to become popular due to its physical sleekness. @drkdemon: I think so, I see a lot of RAZR in the States...
at one point razrs are hot, but now they are gay, they got all thsee different colors and faceplate on it, sucks and fake diamonds surroundin it then its the sidekick!, blackjack
OMG, those shout "I am quite moronic that I cannot stop texting my friends" And yes, the last bout of RAZR/V3 are like trying too hard with the colour plates and rhinestones... And D&G doesn't help any. =_=b
