At what age do you think is acceptable to start dating? I know there are some that start when they're 12 or 13, but do you think that is an acceptable age?

i really think theres no certain age restriction .....since its between the two and if they think it's fine then why not have a relationship with each other

I dont think there needs to be any acceptable age as long as they love each other

    haha...sooooooooooo true...
and then all of a sudden parent's friends children (of the opposite sex) start showing up at the house "just to say hi". or the parents start going, "oh my friend's kid, is so smart and handsome/beautiful...blah blah blah"

^ aznwing, how do u find it funny. i find it sooooo uncomfortable and awkward. parents sit there in the living room with u and him (in my case) :
mum (to me): did u know so-and-so goes to uni and plans to be a (doctor, lawyer, work for IBM-->it's always one of these 3)
    me: "really?"
    him: "yeah"
    then awkward silence...

or an even worse scenario. this one time my fam went for dim sum and she ran into her friend. she was also having dimsum with her fam. she sees the son, and goes "oh is he single, my daughter is too!"

I think, if you're old enough to want to date, then you're old enough to date =P But really, who listens to their parents about dating matters anyway?!?
