the steps* are there for a reason.. it kinda trains your body so it reacts in a certain way.. so then, when and if your ever up for a real fight, not a sparring match then u wud automatically **hopefully** remember the steps and kick some asssss :p

muay thai ppl are crazie they condition and everything o_O with taekwondo, the steps are called poomsae but if u dont know it, u can't grade up a belt.. **btw i dun think belt colour does not determine how good you are at something** and im a gurl, so i guess i wud rather kung fu anyways -^_^

martial arts is cool....especially when u get to spar n train with others..hoping to get my brown/black belt in 2-3years time for karate..=p kung fu is good, so is tai chi..very relaxing but more fun if u practice with the sword or fan..=)

I only know a bit of wing chun. I think it's the best type of chinese kung fu.

Kung fu is awesome! I've been practicing only for 2 years, but my flexibility and reflexes have improved a lot! Like for example when I drop something or see something drop.. my body moves by itself to catch it.. and 99% of the times I catch it lol! ahh my spider sense is tingling!!!

I was bron in Hong Kong and I am living in Gemany since I've been 5/6 years old. Every German who sees me asks if I am a Kung Fu fighter. They say everyone from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan knows Kung Fu and avoid any fights with us. :)
They associate us with Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan or Jet Li. That's the reason why they won't start a fight with us. :)
When I was young I was always fascinated by all martial arts movies. Unfortunately good martial arts in Germany are rare. Now I am a student of Wing Chun, Tai Chi and a mix of Eskrima, Kali, Arnis and Wing Chun weapon martial art.

  14. yeah lol, everyone thinks ur kung fu expert, its only annoying when you meet a roaming warrior wanabe who want to figh just to test out your presumed kungfu skill ;) well i learned chin na (joint locks) but i aint practised for AGES now, but if i was in a nasty situation im sure it would all come flooding back :p i also gave dim mak a go but i stoped cus its way to dangerous, yooull kill someone accidentally with that :(

Yeah, Chin Na is a nice martial art and Dim Mak too. However you are right. Dim Mak is to dangerous to use it in a fight.

I agree with yenthi, Kung Fu is in our blood. :)
All the masters I met says, that I have it in the veins. :)

kung fu is soft...its all about the MMA........Bruce Lee got the basic idea but didnt quite finish it....look at Donnie Yen.. The moves in his recent movies compared to his older 1's........now he does ground work...submissions..etc....don't even start with kung fu....it has very actual value in real combat..
