Uh, I don't use anything special, just a moist cloth to clean it. If I can't get the dirt off so be it.
I throw my pumas in the wash. I haven't washed my new balances yet. I really don't know what I'm doing though.
10 steps to wash your running shoes: http://www.ehow.com/how_113543_wash-sneakers.html and this: http://www.marathontraining.com/marathon/m_shoes.html
I thought you buy new ones when your shoes gets dirty.... edit: btw, I do not follow those 10 steps btw, just googled it for others. I stick it at my lazy method (but not as lazy as DuchS and MissCheeky) by cleaning them with a moist cloth and if it gets soaked I'll put kitchen paper in it. (I used to use a hairdryer for drying my other sportshoes but soon noticed it was really bad for the leather)
Sure, send them over to Europe and make sure you put a $100 US dollar bill for each pair of shoes I have to clean for ya.
OMG this is the first time I hear people washing their shoes in d washing machines Anyway, i don't wash mine often bcoz the water seeping thru it n soon they will be 'crocodiles'...
